GateKeeper Innovations Safer Lock for Digit Locking Cap and Pill Bottle (SL1)

The product listing did not include dimensions and I was looking for something purse size. The bottle is 4.5 inches tall and the screw top cap is 2 inches in diameter. I want to keep my meds safe in my purse when I visit my grandchildren and there is nothing suited for this purpose that I can find. I don't know how well the combination works as I haven't tried it out in case I just decide to return it. If the dimensions had been posted I would not have ordered. It is likely a very good choice for home storage of meds though. If you have a loved one in the care of home health aids this is a must consideration. So many home care patients meds are stolen and replaced with fakes by unscrupulous people - that is the world we live in unfortunately and it happens more than you know. Also your own meds are not secure in the family medicine cabinet any longer.

I was THRILLED to find this. The answer to my problem of having sticky fingers making their way into my medication. I wanted something to keep others out of my pill bottles but not make it a royal pain for me to access. Love love this. But after 5-6 months it started to give me trouble locking me out of my mess and yesterday it failed completely. The lock doesn't work and I didn't realize until sticky fingers were accessing my meds. I would order again but will depend on if company stands behind their product. I will be calling company and update this review at that time.

Bought because someone was stealing my pain medication! Works as described, but don't plan on putting it in your pocket as the picture does not help. This bottle is FREAKING HUGE!! The cap is heavy duty but the bottom is kind of flimsy and someone could easily cut right through it! GREAT IDEA just needs to be a lot smaller and a little heavier duty!***Update March 2, 2017***! After using the bottle for three weeks I was messing with the bottle to see if someone could get into the bottle, well if you pry on the lid it pops off!! Not only is the bottle easy to cut open, the lid can be pulled off by hand fairly easy. If your buying this to keep your little kids out of your meds then it would be good for that, but to keep anyone else out then I would recommend a heavy duty safe which is a pain but keeps out the druggy!

This was bought for my brother, though the person he was trying to keep out couldnt figure it out I got it opened in the 1st 5 seconds of it being handed to me and told "try to open this" If you press down very hard and turn you can open it, likewise if you til the cap up at an angle while turning it you can open it.

Just opened mine and, holy huge bottle! But my other concern is, I cut through the tape to the product box yet it's missing everything but the bottle. It claims: "inside this box is a four digit locking bottle cap (received), a combination reset pin ( not there), an instruction booklet (not there), and a medicine bottle with label pocket. (i have a bottle with no pocket) weird how it's an unopened box yet things are missing.

Heavy duty protection, easy to use. I wish it was available in a larger size to fit the actual prescription bottle so carrying a controlled substance traveling & etc. you wouldn't also need your bottle. A very solid safety device, the only way someone could get into your medication would be to take the whole bottle and try to open it by using a hammer or something. This a huge deterrent for keeping teens or others from grabbing a few pills out and no way could a child get into it. Lid is about as heavy as a pad lock and bottle it thick solid plastic. I accidentally dropped it on a wooden floor and it didn't open or break.

This combination bottle is a hoax. You can put your own combination in it but if you push enter in the cap is still opens. I have a daughter that’s an addict. And I thought this bottle was the solution . I was confident that it worked so I order two more that I will be returning upon their arrival.

When I received this, I set the code & put my medication in it. To get the med out, you have to enter the code & to lock it back you have to enter the code but half the time it would not lock. THEN, it stopped working all together because the lid can be pulled off by someone with a little muscle!
