It works
Being an old person (82) my balance is getting worse of course, and since I did not feel ok joining any class at my gym, I ordered this video. After about six weeks of using it about five times a week, I am beginning to see the difference (can actually not hold onto my 'very sturdy' chair at times! ). I just feel so much better after doing these exercises.

I now have all 3 of Jane Adams because they work so very well.
I worked the Balance and Mobility From Feb10 to 4/29; so effective with NO pain. I have developed muscles as well as balance increase that I never expected. I am startled at the waistline that occurred as well. Wowser! I can do Tai Chi- Never thought it was possible; feels real good too. I am beginning the second taped of Standing Balance while continuing all the 1st tape exercises.YOU ARE VERY GOOD AT TEACHING THESE THINGS- FAR BETTER THAN ANYTHNG i have experienced before!

Excellent! It gives great advice about yoga in addition to great instruction and poses
This DVD has a menu that lets you choose from several options. I only needed to watch the opening advice about HOW to do yoga once or twice, but it was really good advice about things I didn't know even though I've done various yoga DVDs before. Yoga DVDs usually leap straight into action without any preparation advice. All the menu options on this DVD are good. You can choose from a couple different warm up exercises. You also have several options for being guided through different kinds of yoga-poses. There's clear labeling about ease/difficulty to expect so you can choose wisely as you improve and progress. The menu also tells you how many minutes each option takes which helps me plan how many to do based on my schedule that day. This DVD is very easy to understand and easy to use. The instructor has a very sweet, caring and encouraging way about her that I also like. It feels more like I'm being instructed by a friend than by a stranger. It's an excellent DVD for balance especially since some DVDs are more about stretching and flexibility than balance. This DVD addresses them all well.

Iam a stroke survivor and this has helped!
I am weak on the left side. I’ve been doing the 14 minute balance exercises daily for a month and my leg strength is noticeably improved! I was frustrated initially, but, I just kept reminding myself that practice brings improvement. It requires some accommodations for the fact that I can’t open my left hand or extend the left arm casually. I haven’t yet tried the poses, but the exercises are getting me great results! Just this week I had to manage an obstacle on the stair and I was able to gather my balance so easily! I intend to keep practicing and I am confident I will go into old age with less risk of breaking a hip!

Gentle yoga for balance
I really like this DVD. Most of the "gentle" yoga classes I have attended are geared to the more advanced students, so I have decided to do my yoga at home. Jane has incredible balance and form. Her routines are easy to follow and give me a good stretch. Hoping that emulating Jane's style will lead to more flexibility and balance.

Great for seniors...
I started taking Hatha and Vinyasa yoga and balancing 6 years ago at our Senior Center. Then Covid hit and along with everything else it came to a stop. So I purchased Rodney Yee "Yoga for Beginners" and this one for balancing, and I love them both. They have all the poses that I have done at the center. And this balance one has a level for the beginners and up. Very easy to follow. I am 66 years old, I have RA, and every time I do these yoga exercises I always feel better. Yes... there are chair poses also. I do every pose as much as I can, and I know 6 years ago, a lot of what I do now....I couldn't do then. I started in chair yoga... I do not use a chair anymore. :)

These balance exercises really work!
Stronger Standing Balance has had a profound impact on my life.Last winter, at the age of 61, I tried ice skating for the first time in my life. It was not a pretty sight. I started taking adult figure skating lessons through our local club, and after three months I still lacked confidence (skating forward on one foot was a real challenge for me). I discovered that I even had trouble standing on one foot on a hard floor wearing shoes!I purchased Stronger Standing Balance, and over the summer I did the14 minute Balance Exercise routine about 5 times a week. When I started skating again in September, I was astounded by the improvement. Long glides on one foot are now simple for me, and my placement of the skates on the ice is dramatically better. I attribute this not only to the balance exercises but also to your emphasis of awareness of foot placement while doing them.I’m now skating three days a week and doing your Balance Exercises, along with the Standing Poses, on the non-skating days. Once I feel that I have mastered those, I’ll move on to the Level One, Two, and Three Yoga Balances. Many thanks to Jane Adams for producing this excellent DVD!

Yep.... a challenge
Just received this dvd yesterday, did the first 2 segments. The first is kind of a warm up and the 2nd was a beginner balance routine. Let me tell you, it was tough. I exercise daily, but my balance is not to par with my age (early 40s). Never had good balance, but feel now it has gotten worse, for what ever reason. I, so far am enjoying this dvd...I know it is going to be a process to get back my/some balance, but I have high hopes that this dvd will help. Thank you to all that wrote your reviews, as reading your reviews helped me make this decision. I gave this DVD a 4 star just because I haven't gone through the entire DVD, like I said I just received it yesterday.... so not quite sure if this is a fair rating...it may be a 5 star.... in all fairness.

Great for developing strengh and increasing flexability!
I started doing Jane Adam's Beginner Yoga about 9 months back. . I feel that my core strength, balance, and flexibility have significantly improved since I started the practices. I was very excited to start these practices to my morning routine.
