German Kringle - Almond Cream

OH DEAR LORD!!!! I ordered my first Kringle from this bakery a few days ago and received it today in mint condition along with a hand written note! It came all the way from Washington State to our home in Atlanta GA but tastes like it just came out of the oven!! The texture of the flaky buttery crust is indescribable! The almond cream filling and almond slices are so incredibly delicious! They STUFFED this fresh Kringle with so much savory cream and sliced almonds! It recommends to warm it up in the oven but my greedy watering mouth tore into it the moment I opened the container! I am seriously considering hiding this from my husband and toddler so I can have it all to myself. I actually called the bakery in WA to thank them and tell them how unbelievable delicious their products are! I will be ordering from them for life and will be my go to gift giving item!! Seriously order this!!! You will not be disappointed!!!!!

I received Almond Kringle today, but I am disappointed. It looks nothing like the picture on Amazon. There is no sugar glaze at all!!! The dough us heavily undercooked. Cake is soft and mushy. The filing is substandard. How can I get a refund?

Delicious, almost as good as similar things in Germany. But rather heavy crust, or I would have given it five stars

One of my best dessert finds on Amazon! I can't post a photo because we ate it all! Not a crumb left after the weekend. (It arrived Friday evening.) The pastry is huge, so much bigger than I expected, and the cream is a perfect texture with slices of almond in it. This reminded me of my grandmother's apple cream kuchen that my father had for breakfast, lunch and dinner until it was gone. True, old-fashioned baked goods here.

Texture was great, and filling was good, but the pastry was sort of flat tasting. Did not feel cheated, but will probably not purchase again.

So, like any first time buyer I tried it right out of the box. Oh, yum! The next day I read the instructions. I know typical guy, and heated it. The flavor absolutely jumps out at you! Makes a great breakfast, dessert or between meal treat!

I gave this product to my sister for their Easter celebrations. Both she and her daughter, took a couple of bites, each...my Niece said, that the almond filling had a funny taste...It tasted " old and Not fresh"! My sister said the same thing...but my sister developed stomach cramping after taking the couple of bites and had diarrhea twice.I was called to let me know about their awful experience...so, I am writing about it on this product review page.

A couple of years ago I bought a "Kringle" in Trader Joe's. When I saw that there were Kringles in other flavors offered on Amazon I jumped and bought three of them and loved them all. Then I saw this, that looked terrific. Unfortunately it was a giant disappointment. Maybe it was from a different bakery or something, but it was not particularly good and certainly not worth the money. Don't make a mistake and stay away from this inferior product.
