Great storytelling and a first rate cast of characters you'd like to know
I started with the manga version of this and really liked it but that project was never completed. I decided to read the Complete Novel Collection to see how the story ultimately turned out. The complete Strawberry Panic is a terrific story and for 670 pages, it sweeps the reader up in a saga of the young women of three upper class academies with their trials, triumphs and loves. Two types who will not like it? Horny folks hoping for Penthouse-like girl-on-girl erotica will dismiss it as the book equivalent of a chick flick. Militant lesbians will denounce the characters as aristocratic experimenters lacking any radical consciousness. The people who will like it will be those who appreciate a great character driven story and they are treated to a large, wonderful cast. There is the transfer student Nagisa, unsure, but possessed of powerful inner strength. Shizuma, the queen of St. Miator Academy, wonders if Nagisa is the true love she seeks. Amane is the charismatic yet introverted prince of St. Spica, uneasy with her popularity and falling in love for the first time in her life with the fragile Hikari. And these are just a few of the people readers will meet. If you want great storytelling, characters you'd love knowing, and finding yourself setting reading speed records because you just have to find out what happens next, Strawberry Panic is definitely a book you'll want.

Good purchase!
I’m not finished with this book yet, but so far so good. It arrived in good condition, and the storyline helps to add more depth to the characters that wasn’t as fully developed in the anime. Definitely enjoying so far.

My favoirte book in the world!!!
As soon as I read this book at my local library I knew I had to buy It. I read It twice before deciding to buy it because I was sick of always renewing my book because I found myself not wanting to return it but I would never take away a chance for another person to read this book so I had to get it!

I panicked looking for relief.
I usually try to quantify things, but I'll make this easy: boring as hell, and there is a noticeable oddity to the English composure.I am a voracious and omnivorous reader (almost 1200 books in my own library), but this is one of the most pointless things I've forced myself through. Don't get me wrong, I like girls a lot, and I like girls who like girls more than life, but a kiss and a grope is not reward enough for enduring reams of insipid mewling.

A Love Story At Its Finest
This is one of my all time favorite love stories for it shows no matter who you are you can find love if you search for it. The story is emotional it makes you feel like you are one of the characters in the story and no matter how dark single life may be one day love will find you.

Good service but poorly written as a novel
The order came through in 9 days, in perfect condition (Used-Very Good). Though the original story is better than that of the anime version, the writing is as ineloquent as a fanfic, and it can be hard to get into the story of the prestigious girls boarding school where even the nuns 'grin'. I don't know if this is a result of the translation, or if it is as painful to read in Japanese, but I do find it a shame, as the manga is very cute - hilarious and absolutely charming, while the light novels fail to really capture the essence of Strawberry Panic in the same way at all. That said, I do appreciate the fact that the honorifics and Japanese forms of address (san/sama/chan/sempai/sensei/oneesama) have been retained in this translation - in English it sounds absolutely awful to casually call someone 'big bro' or 'teach' .. well, that's my personal opinion. Though it won't stop me reading the whole thing to know the story and the thoughts that can't always be read in manga (even if I rewrite it in my head as I go) I must admit I was a little shocked by how disappointing the writing was, to the point that I'm unsure as to how it was originally published. I won't say don't buy it, but if you do still want this, be prepared to wade through the repetitive language in advance.

A little clunky
Whether a fault of the translator(s) or the original author, this book series is vastly inferior to the anime and manga series on which it was based. Much of the extraneous detail is tedious and repetitive, making it tiresome to read. I would advise this for two types of people 1) young teenagers 2) diehard fans who must collect all of the franchise (myself included!). The artwork it nice but there isn't much of it. However, if you do like a light read and want more detail on your favourite characters, this isn't a bad purchase.

Cute, Emotional
If you are a fan of the Strawberry Panic anime, this book may seem pretty strange to you because the story is completely different. It has the same characters, plus one, so I found it odd to read about them when the events in the anime should have been happening instead.Still, I approached it with an open mind and I enjoyed it.The story line flows smoothly at a steady pace, and character development can be seen. The characters are lovable and there are some very cute moments between them, just like in the anime. Some of these moments involve romance, whilst others are just for fun, especially when Chikaru is involved because of her creative personality. However, I still couldn't shake off the fact that the story was completely different. I prefer the anime as it is more in depth, dramatic and emotional. If you haven't seen the anime, and you like cute yet emotional shoujo ai, then you'll adore this :3.

Meraviglioso!
