As a plumber, I use marking tools every day, and the Tracer Deep Hole Carpenter Pencil has become one of my favourites. It's incredibly well designed and makes marking awkward or hard-to-reach areas much easier than using a standard pencil. The long, narrow tip easily reaches into deep fixing holes, brackets and tight spaces, making it ideal for accurately marking wood, metal, plastic and masonry before drilling or cutting. The 2.8mm lead is strong, produces clear, easy-to-see marks and doesn't snap easily during normal use. The pencil itself feels robust and comfortable to hold, and the built-in sharpener is a really useful feature, allowing you to keep the lead sharp without carrying extra tools. It's clear this has been designed with professional tradespeople in mind, but it's just as useful for DIY projects around the home. The quality is excellent, and it's one of those tools that quickly becomes something you reach for on almost every job. The Tracer Deep Hole Carpenter Pencil has become my go-to marking tool, and I use one pretty much every day while working. After extensive use, I've had no problems with it at all, which says a lot about its quality and practicality. In fact, when my son left home and got his first flat, I started putting together a basic starter toolkit for him with all the essentials. When it came to choosing a pencil, there was no debate—it had to be a Tracer. If a tool has earned a permanent place in my own kit, it's good enough to go straight into his as well. The build quality is excellent, replacement leads are readily available, and it's one of those tools that, once you've used it, you wonder how you managed without it. This is great and I wish I'd got one earlier. Easy to use, easy to keep sharp with the built in sharpener, lid protects and doubles as handy carry clip, and the reach in terms of hole depth is great. For the first time in a long time I've had accurate markings to cut and drill to, will buy another if it ever breaks or I lose it.

I like these, cheaper than its rival but the only problem is it tends to become loose fit in holder and becomes detached very easily from holder so you lose it.

These are really good and handy to have.i was forever loosing pencils or never had a sharpener to had. After purchasing this i would never go back to a normal pencil. Good value for money (got mine on offer). Nice and easy to hold and very durable. The built in sharpener just make it perfect.

If you're anything like me, you can never find your pencil. I'm a serial DIYer, but spend most of my time pencil hunting. I swear I put it behind my ear... That was until I got my Tracer pencil. Gone are the days of vanishing pencils. It now sits proudly in one of the screwdriver loops of my work trousers. Simple to grab whenever I need it, and easy to remember to return it to it's holster. Apart from now knowing exactly where it is at all times, this is also a great pencil. It doesn't blunt too quickly, and is easy to quickly sharpen with the built in sharpener on the holster. It's not the cheapest, but I'd say you definitely get what you pay for. It's a well thought out design, and good quality. Just a word of warning, if you're using it to mark a deep hole, you need to be extra careful. The lead will be fully extracted, and although it's probably stronger than the average pencil lead, it is still brittle, and will snap with any lateral pressure. Overall, though, this is one of my favourite additions to my toolkit. It's simple and unsexy, but has saved me so much time now I don't have to play hide and seek with my pencil.

This carpenters pencil is perfect. it clips into my pocket securely & is great for marking out. I can extend the lead in the pencil if I need to mark out a point that is deep where you cannot do this with a normal pencil. It is easy to use & the grip is comfortable if you’ve got problems holding a regular pencil. It’s a good price & I thoroughly recommend it.

Fantastic pencil. Clear dark line to follow when cutting the wood. Sharpener built in. Great product for lots of diy use.

First pencil of this kind that I have used that work i.e. The lead does not disappear into the pencil when you write with it. So far - have to ser what happens in the long run.

Crayon à mine graphite pour le bricolage à longue tige, permet d’aller dans les trous pour repérer et marquer dans vos bricolage .. excellent la mine est assez solide et le crayon se clip bien .. Je conseille vivement .😁

Product is a fancy pencil. But I wish I bought one years ago. Works well!
