I live in Florida and you either have melted butter in a dish or hard butter from fridge. But this butter bell is fabulous! It keeps the butter in the cupboard soft and spreadable. Great for biscuits, grilled cheese, pancakes, and sandwiches. Also seals out ants, love ceramic instead of plastic.

I received this little crock last week. I am so enjoying soft butter. I have to put a reminder on my phone to change the water but that has worked out well. Plus, the teal color goes perfectly in my kitchen. I am so happy with this little crock.

I have submitted a review already but because I like it so much, I will repeat myself. Great size, has weight, chills in frig fast and instruction pot that came with it helps me to optimize how I use it! Would definitely buy again for housewarming gift!

Base jar came with a small chip in the base jar, but didn't feel like going thru the process of returning it, coz it should cost me more in gas for the item price. But on the good side, it great to have real butter ready and spreadable for my favorite, waffles, toast, bread, English muffins etc. Love the product.

Bottom Line - water isn't necessary to keep the butter fresh 😃 After having grown my share of mold using this butter holder ass prescribed, reading various suggestions e.g. adding salt to water, changing water several times a week...because I am fundamentally lazy, I started to reflect on my history with butter - Grandma Esther's butter dish, leaving cartoons of butter on the shelf (wrapped) leaving partially used cubes of butter on the shelf half unwrapped for weeks....without mold growing. The water seal / upside down butter cup is delightfully ingenious - when I first opened the box, I thought the wrong item was shipped - I misread the sales description... For unexplainable human reasons, I simply like the novelty of it ! Unless you like the water management, skip the water completely. Maybe the pH of the water where this was invented doesn't support mold growth??? I enjoyed the journey to a satisfactory solution, so I gave it five stars.

I really love this butter crock. It keeps the butter soft and spreadable, which is so much nicer than trying to use hard butter straight from the refrigerator. It’s also cute enough to leave sitting out on the counter, and I like the design and color. Very happy with it and would definitely recommend it.

I love this item. it is a much more economical than soft tub butter and fresher tasting since there is no added oils or preservatives.. The water keeps the butter very fresh and no need to refrigerate. So glad I found this item

Ein sehr schönes Buttertöpfchen. Es passt gut eine halbe Butterpackung hinein (ca. 125g). Ich bin froh, sie gefunden zu haben. So habe ich immer streichfähige Butter zur Hand. Nur im Sommer hat es nicht so gut funktioniert, da flutschte die weiche Butter durchs Eigengewicht immer in das Wasser hinein. Aber dafür ist das Töpfchen wahrscheinlich auch nicht gemacht, daher kein Sternabzug von mir. Der Griff oben hat eine gute Größe um es gut zu fassen.

This is the absolute best butter container I've ever owned. Since keeping my butter in this bell I have not had any moldy butter even with the house being warmer due to summer weather. Its a nice ceramic easy to clean and the colors are incredible (I purchased the yellow one and I love it!) The butter is always that perfect spreadable texture and the little knife that comes with it is actually useful. I would definitely recommend
