With leaving room at the top, the cups hold 3-3.5 ounces of liquid. I put egg whites with peppers, onions and cheese in them and bake them. Take with me to work and microwave. Is you were putting nuts or candy in them, you could fill to top.

Do you need to spray the cups with baking spray before using them?

I use them to make mini omelets and put egg whites in them with scallions, tomatoes and cheese. I make them (bake) ahead then microwave at work. I have never actually used them for baking cupcakes but never sprayed them for the egg whites. Hope this helps.
