Humanely killed a number of mice that have taken accommodation in my loft. I can no longer hear the incessant scratching. I had one of the old 'clap shut' traps but it never sat well with me as the mouse may die in pain. The final straw was when a mouse had been caught, in the old trap, and the corpse was devoured by its fellow mice. Nasty business. With this trap there are no signs of struggle or stress, it just gets zapped and doesn't become a meal for it cohorts. Amazon asked me to rate 'thickness', I don't understand how this measure speaks to trap quality, and 'weather proof', which I can't do as it has been inside.

mine worked one night, next morning trap activated but no rat! Got professional pest control to come, luckily only a few present which were quickly dealt with. Wouldn't bother with this product - waste of money.

I searched for a 'Electric Mourse/Rat Trap' that was for 'outdoor use'. This product clearly advertises that fact although similar products do not.On arrival the instructions clearly state it is to be used 'in dry and well ventillated places. Excessive moisture may cause a short circuit or false alarm, reducing the working life of the trap.' So clearly not for 'outdoor use' unless you put it somewhere no moisture would reach it, i.e indoors.I will not trust Amazon descriptions again as they clearly do not check what they sell.

I just have trouble setting the door Its very sensitive It does kill the mice I dont know about rats

Noticed a mouse. Placed the unit nearby within 2 hours the mouse got it.Read and follow the instructions and successful results will come.

Big light on top fladhing lites up thevarea, rats avoided it. They took all bait around the trap, avoided going inside. My opinion is its too expensive for the results i got. Worth a tenner at best.
