100 Little Knitted Projects

Good book for quick fun knitted projects
Just got the book last week and have already done several projects out of it. Some of the author's directions could be done in a more efficient manner, for example on one of the projects she makes the gusset in 2 pieces then sews it together. It could have easily been made in one piece. In another project her directions could have been knitted in the round instead of flat with a seam. However, that is the only draw-back to the book. The ideas are great. The projects are quick and easy, AND fun. Both my daughter and I are really enjoying this book. If you want to see the table of contents of this book, use the look inside option. There are some great projects in here. I have some other books by Ms. Keen and have been very happy with them. Enough so that I plan to get others that I don't have.

Beautiful selection of projects with clearly written instructions
Originally, I thought this book was slightly high in price ($16.99 at the time of this review) but upon seeing it in person and reading through the patterns, I think it's worth the money for the hard copy. I wouldn't purchase this on kindle for $14.99 however - that's definitely too much for a kindle book.Anyway, there are a full 100 projects in this and all of them are detailed and well-designed - they don't look "crafty." And by crafty, I mean that chunky acrylic look. These have a fine quality to them and range in difficulty from easy to intermediate level. They require patience due to the smallness because of the fine details but the details are what make these little projects spectacular.I have gone through the book and the instructions are clear and easily understandable even for the more unique projects - like the cup and saucer or Humpty Humpty. I've searched online for errata and couldn't find any so hopefully, all of the patterns have been tested. If I run into any issues when I start knitting some of these, I will update this review with that information. These call for dk weight yarn and I would tend to stick with the dk because of the scale of these projects. Worsted weight might give these a chunkier look and make them less delicate. These are fun little toys for little hands. They are all bright and cheerful and can be used as little ornaments or backpack fobs. I was also thinking of making a baby mobile for above a crib.So many uses for these little projects.Recommend.

Good fun
This book is ideal for anyone who has been a busy knitter and has oddments of double knitting wool that they don't know how to use. It's amazing how even the smallest amount can come in useful. So far I have made the clown, Humpty Dumpty, fairy, elephant, grass hopper, dolphin, mouse, fox and the polar bear. Each can be completed in an hour or so. Looking forward to making lots more. I had originally decided that I wasn't going to buy any more books for knitting as I have loads. I'm really pleased I decided to get this one.

Fantastic
This is a great book because it's made of pleasant feeling paper with a good cover, the print quality is very good, the pictures are really clear and colourful, the projects are made for double knitting of any sort so you can use up scraps and oddments or buy expensive dk if that's your thing too. The instructions are straight forward and the selection of projects is huge. Often I've bought knitting books which promise loads of patterns and projects only to find that there are actually only about five patterns re-worked and tweaked here and there to give a 'new' project. That always feels like a con but this book is completely up front: 100 projects is what it says, and 100 projects is what you get.

Exactly the right thing for the grandchildren
This arrived very speedily. The many items in it will keep the children amused, means I'll be able to put all that excess wool that's leftover to a good use and I'll be able to make them an advent calendar and fill the little pockets with these toys instead of the usual sweets. I can even make and give these things to charities that take care of vulnerable families when my own grandchildren have theirs! Absolutely ideal.

Wonderful book
I’m so glad I bought this book, the instructions are very easy to follow and they are quick to make. I've already made the cupcake, jam tart and Battenberg cake and I can’t stop looking at them, they are so cute. I thoroughly recommend this book.

I just can't wait to get started. So much to choose from. Book itself top quality paper, spine a little squashed at end but this doesn't detract from how pleased I am with it.Having read through a few patterns, they seem well explained and easy to follow. A very well though-out publication and a top-notch designer. Would readily recommend to knitters who prefer small projects and for charity raisers.
