Q: How long is the hose?

The hose is about 7' long, the tube is about 3' long. Its a simple, brilliant device - does a great job of sucking the sand out of my hot tub. But you do need to have a drop off near by so that the hose can create a syphon for suction.

Probably not. The only way it can work is if the hose is lower than the pool surface and even then the suction was not strong.
