Apologia for the Law and the Sabbath: To Love God Is to Keep His Commandments

The biblical evidence is overwhelming! This is a must read! Praise Jesus!
Satan has duped us again into believing Jesus came to cancel the instructions (“The Law”) given to Israel at mount Sinai. Roger Hadad does an amazing job clarifying a lot the misinformation in today’s Christianity and does a great job backing it up through scriptures. “So then, the Law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.” Romans 7:12. There is no scripture in the Bible were Jesus himself claimed he was cancelling any of the commandments in “The Law.” In order to interpret the New Testament we must first understand the “old” —why? Because 1st century disciples all they had available to them was the “old testament” aka Tanakh. NT commandments are NOT new. They all stem from OT. The biblical evidence is overwhelming! How did I not see it? The Law of Moses is not done away with, the 10 commandments are NOT done away with, and yes the Sabbath is NOT done away with! I am grateful for this book. I highly recommend it to every bible believer in Jesus Christ. It’s an easy read only 180 pages. What a delight!

Excellent if you are a grafted in believer
Excellent! It is very important for everyone who calls themselves a Christian to read this book and examine their walk. The time is drawing closer to the end and God is calling us back to our roots. Reading this you will see how far the traditions on men have gotten us off the path. If we say we love Jesus we need to be following him by keeping all of his commandments.

I have been deceived for so long
This was a fresh look at honoring God's commands but in a loving way remembering that we were all once deceived to believe that Christ "did away with the law".

Must Read
I had the opportunity to communicate with the author. I really appreciate Roger's heart in how he approached the writing of the book. This is wisdom, and couldn't agree with him more. I enjoyed this book all the way through. Was a great blessing and encouragement. I believe that taking the context, culture, and mindset of the inspired writers of the scriptures, both the Tanakh and the apostolic writings, is helpful in gaining a deeper understanding of the scriptures. However, many professing Christians (including myself not all that long ago) balk at idea of obeying "Torah". This book succeeds in presenting the an argument for the entire Torah (not just the 2 greatest commandments, not just the 4 commandments in Acts 15, not just the 10 commandments minus 1, and certainly not the 7 Noahide laws), as relevant to believers in Yeshua (Jesus) today just as it was in the first century, and it does so without the need of "hebraisms", "Jewish concepts", etc., but from a rational and logical perspective. Great read.

I Can't Endorse It
After seeing it mentioned in a Facebook group, I bought a copy of "Apologia for the Law and the Sabbath," by Roger Hadad (a fellow North Carolinian!). However, in spite of the title, I cannot recommend it.While he speaks highly of God's Law, he also says this (p. 123): "In addition, we are not seeking to establish a theocracy -n the only system under which absolute and perfect justice can be fulfilled. Any other type of governmental system does not lend itself to the type of system required to fully implement the laws of God as a society. Remember that the laws were given to Israel under a theocratic government with God Himself as the Supreme Ruler and Moses acting as His spokesman. Any attempts to replicate this would lead to disastrous consequences."So it is wrong to pray, as Jesus taught us, "thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven"? A human sovereign is preferable to the kingship of Jesus? A society based on humanistic law hasn't led to disastrous consequences?

A very good start towards walking in the Truth of the Word
Firstly, I would like to start off by saying that I am of the Israelite faith(descendant of the trans-atlantic slave trade). I intend to walk in the ways of the heavenly father, Yahuah, worshipping him and his son, Yahusha, in TRUTH and SPIRIT.With that said, this author has a generally accurate understanding, far better than the average "Christian" and I respect that. "Christianity" (the religion, not the people) has been misleading its believers for generations. I know, because I too was Christian, raised Catholic. Ever since I woke up and started studying the scriptures seriously, I have since rejected Christianity(and all religion) completely, for Covenant with Yah and Yahusha. This book can certainly serve to wake up the masses of sleeping Christians. It is clearly a lie, the claim that the laws of Yahuah has been abolished! This is no laughing matter. Very well written book and presentation. I recommend anyone seeking the truth to read this book.I gave four out of five stars because of claims like "polygyny" is a sin and celebration of pagan holidays like Christmas isn't.Lets be clear, polygyny; one man to multliple wives is not a sin, it is biblical and not some ambiguous unrighteous "thing" that Yah ignored for so many years until the coming of Ha'Mashiack, like many Christians claim. the tradition of Christmas, like many other Christian traditions (Easter, Valentines etc) are rooted in pagan worship and should be firmly avoided as celebrating them causes you to directly or indirectly worship false gods. If you want to worship the father in truth, this cannot be ignored! All in all, a very good read and I do recommend.

GREAT READ!
WOW! The author has successfully defended The Law of God in this well thought out book. By using scripture alone, he clearly shows believers the connection between Old Testament Law and the New Covenant and how the only way to love God is to keep His Commandments. Great Read!

Get It!
In the end of days prophecy states the Father's people will begin to obey His commandments once again. Great book to give to those who are trying to understand the validity of Yahweh's laws for the believer in Messiah today.
