Rene Magritte: 1898 - 1967

As with all Taschen art books, the scholarship is superb and the quality of paper and color reproductions make the Basic Art Series well worth the money. I have only bought eight so far, but intend to buy all that interest me.

Good book for introducing into Magritte world. An illustrated story of Magritte life. The illustrations are good enough and there is a lot of it.

Hardback. Great quality. Bought as a gift for one of my best friends birthday, this is one of her favorite surreal artists.

I teach Art and these books are used friendly for students. They are a staple for my class.

This is a decent "art book" that has Magritte's paintings. It is not super large and glossy, like some, but pretty decent, There is a small amount of text that describes the painting, but not a lot, which is just what I wanted. It is very reasonably priced for what it is.

Really good overview book of an artist I had know some of his paintings, but never really knew anything about him. This book gives you the lowdown, as has a good array of his his works and sketches.

Great series of artist books offering a general overview of each artist and their work.
