I love the visual aesthetics of these dividers; they’re minimalistic and very durable. However, I didn’t notice much of a difference in terms of limiting the transfer of sound... We used these to divide our children during remote learning so they could be on Zoom sessions simultaneously. The definitely did the trick in terms of reducing visual distractions, but the noise was not noticeably improved. As a teacher, I like them enough, but for the price I wouldn’t buy them again.

We bought these for our son, to give him some privacy and a work station, while he is staying with us and working from home on our dining room table during the pandemic. They are well made, stand up perfectly, add privacy, and a little noise reduction too. He loves them! I bought 2 sets to get this effect. They are lightweight and completely portable. The stands are removable for storing them flat in very little space when not using them.

I didn't receive these at all, instead a giant 50lb rug pad showed up on my doorstep instead. It was so heavy and cumbersome, I couldn't return it since I live in an apt and don't drive. So beware.

My wife and I dabble in doing VoiceOver recordings ... mostly for fun and not for professional reasons. When you place your microphone in between these acoustic panels, the audio recording definitely sounds better and you also do somewhat shelter the audio from "spilling" into the rest of the surrounding area (though not close to 100%).The only reason I gave this 4 stars is simply because it is super easy to knock over these panels with just a little nudge. I feel like the base could have been more weighted to prevent this.

As a simple divider, these work fine. However, a quick discussion on acoustics follows1. They're felt, which means they're acoustically permeable, which means in turn that they're not going to stop any low-mid frequency transmission through them. For that you'd need a solid, massy layer.2. As a felt divider, they're primarily intended to reduce acoustic reflection and 'deaden' the space. This effect is dependent on size. I cold see how they would maybe prevent a little bit of reflection, especially if they're placed in front of a low cubicle divider that's about the same height as they are, but against a wall, they'll be too short for the average person (the mouth, which behaves like an omnidirectional speaker, sits above the top of the divider. It'd need to be about twice as high to be effective in this case).3. For local elimination of wall reflection, they could be mounted directly to the wall. They're thick enough to provide sufficient absorption for regular speech. I wouldn't use them for a recording studio or anechoic chamber as they're too thin for that.

Seems like a complete waste of money. One of my employees who works directly under me purchased this to help separate his desk from mine. Now I just see his creepy little eyes and hear his voice, but don't see his lips move. Doesn't do anything to benefit him nor myself. It also doesn't sit flush side by side, and has a small gap in between. My employee that works directly under me made a complete fool of himself by purchasing this, and now he's the laughing stock of our entire building.

They come flat, and you break them out like a puzzle. Easy to assemble and place. I wish they were taller, or had the ability to put the feet on short side to stand them upright.

The item is small for any office space. Not that useful as of it description. We had to assume most part of returning fees (paid 97$ for the item but has to pay 45$ for the returning fees).
