These chemlights work. The green is exceptionally bright.The light was activated at 6pm and at 11am the next day it was still giving off light. After 8 hours this chemlight was still very bright. Visible at distance in complete darkness out to about 75 feet with the naked eye, night vision it was visible out to about 300 yards. This chemlight easily lit a 12x12 room from approximately 10 hours.

Bought them for my emergency kit. Used one to test it out. Puts out a sufficient amount of light.

I have now purchased two packs and decided to give one stick a try tonight in total darkness in the house.I don't know what military quality would be, so I can only relay my experience tonight. I opened the pack, snapped the tube in the center to activate one and shook it. It was probably as bright as they get before I shook it. I then proceeded to the darkest area of my house. I'd have to say in reality, these would be pretty good inside a tent or very small space. To me, they are not good enough to leave your tent in the middle of the night to trot off to the bathroom where you're camping if you have to worry about wildlife or other vermin 😉. So I'd probably limit these sticks to inside a tent. I'd use some type of flashlight if I had to leave the tent. And in this instance, we're only talking camping, not any serious situation which I'd say these wouldn't be sufficient for use. Don't know about whoever would see this, but although I have the funds, I cannot afford $10,000 NODs. I'm trying to live a life here, so money is still currently worth something. If you see this 10 years after I leave it, things may have changed. Of course, by then this medium may not even exist.

Can't really say anything negative about these chem lights. They work as advertised and seem to be close in quality to the Cyalume brand that I used while in the Military only at a better price.

Bought to toss in a go bag. Cracked one to see what it looks like and they put off a lot of light. Ended up getting a few more. Recommend.
