Premium Packaging/Poor Sound
This is the first and cheaper of two pairs of Oriver headphones I have had the opportunity to review. Both come in the same smart looking packaging. Black box with a silver logo on the top. Lift off the lid and you get two sealed boxes, also with silver logos. One contains the headphones, in a soft drawstring pouch (strange camel colour), the other with 5 spare sets of silicone earbuds. The headphones look very smart and stylish in their blue/silver colour and they are attached to a standard black cable that ends with the 3.5mm connector. There’s an inline mic and button to answer calls but no volume controls. Now to the, somewhat disappointing, sound quality. I’m no audiophile by the way. I connected these up to my Samsung Galaxy S10+, that has a dedicated 3.5mm socket. I like to listen to the same tracks when testing headphones, speakers, etc. I found the sound to be quite tinny and when I tried to adjust the bass level, it felt like the treble sound had been muffled, rather than actually increasing the bass level itself. I tried them on a number of different EQ setup’s and wasn’t able to get rid of the issue. Without attempting to increase the Bass, it felt as though the tinny sound was hurting my ears.I popped off the earbuds and the finish of the speakers weren’t the best and one has something on it, which I tried to remove without success – see photo.I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative and useful. Thanks for reading.

Great bass but lead a little short.
This headset is well made with nice looking solid aluminium alloy buds. The lead is 45cm long, which is OK for a smartphone but a bit short when using my desktop computer. There's a standard 3.5mm plug that will fit most devices. (If you have one without a headphone socket I recommend an adaptor with 3.5mm socket to USB-C plug.) But I could easily get a headphone extension lead so that's not a problem. The remote control on the cable has a microphone and one button. This controls playback from a smartphone and allows handling of phone calls, depending on which is in use. The earbuds are marked left and right, but with very small letters. Eight pairs of silicone earpieces are included along with a neat little brown suede-effect bag to keep everything in. All good so far.The earbuds are good at isolating you from external noise. Bass response is excellent. I found the overall sound a little blurred at first but some experimentation with different sized earpieces improved the sound. It's also important to get the buds into the ear fully. (The right technique is to reach round with your right hand and pull back your left ear as you insert the earbud with your left hand. Repeat with left hand pulling back right ear and inserting with right hand. This ensures that your ear canal is opened fully to get the bud in the correct orientation for your eardrum. Don't push in too far though and remember to keep volume levels moderate if you can.)For the price I have to say these are very good musical earphones as well as being good for voice calls. The quality is good with a package that includes rubberised lead, remote control, spare earpieces and a carry bag. Recommended.

Nicely packaged for gifting, has an attractive small carry bag etc. No independent volume control
Very satisfied with the packaging and the accessories which include a suede style carry bag, a velcro roll to assist in meatly wrapping the cable back up and even a cover to protect the connector. Loses 1 star as no instructions andVolume control is via your phone or tablet controls. I can see no way of doing this with the single 'call' button this has. However track scrolling can be accomplished by a quick double click on the button. I did manage to go forward and back through different tracks. As with other earphones that have a similar button function, direction depends on where you press the button; close to the front forward, close to the back of the button you scroll back. However, it's only a small button and I am using my nail to control it. It's rather fiddly but it is possible with patients to become better at it.Satisfied with overall quality and performance but would have preferred a volume control to be included and I think that they should be instructions to help people are not familiar with scrolling through tracks by this method

these are a premium product from the packaging, right through to build and sound!
i thought these would be some cheapo cut price headphones that typically come bundled with phones are freebies and are good for calls and break after about a week.i was wrong.the packaging is "inspired" by the premium feel of a particular brand... except these are black and the competitor is white. the box is solid and glossy, the headphones are in their nicely finished sub compartment and the little rubber grommets in their own. nice quality manual and also a faux leather carry case.i really love how the controls are in the central wire so it doesn't matter if you are left or right handed to use them.the buds them selves have a nice weight to them and a quality aluminium finish to them and are very comfortable.as for the sound? it's great! blocks out enough background noise, good bass and high end and i've been told when i am speaking to people, they cannot hear any background noise from the mic. it's not B&O or B&W or even Bose level quality sound, but my god it's good for what these things cost.very surprised, very impressed, would highly recommend!
