Relags Kitchen Accessories Banana Bunker

I love these things. Like some other reviewers said, they don't work for exceptionally large or exceptionally curved bananas, but these work about 80% of the time. They are a bit flexible, but not much. They are also a great conversation starter...I don't think I have had a co-worker see them and it not start up a conversation. Sure, they look a little odd, but if you can't get your mind off of that then just don't get one (or do...whatever floats your boat. :).As far as durability goes, I have two of these and use them just about every day. I've had mine a year and they just started to crack a bit last month. Still definitely usable, but if you adjust them to try to fit the bananas that are just an odd shape, you will be cutting down their lifespan a bit (the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was due to the cracking when trying to adjust). If they could come up with a more flexible plastic or rubber that didn't break when being adjusted but was still firm enough to protect, they would definitely get 5 starts from me! :)All in all, I think I paid about $15 for two and I got a year of bruise-free bananas. Well worth it in my opinion.

I think this is about the 6th time I've purchased this item. I have owned several and have purchased a few as gifts. I think this is, by far, the absolute best design for a banana holder. Unfortunately, the plastic is very rigid and the accordion section is prone to cracking, so the product doesn't last as long as I'd like (maybe 6 to 12 months depending on frequency of use.) The breakage factor definitely makes this item over-priced.But, like I said--it's a very good design, so I just keep paying the price to avoid bruised and black bananas

It does what it is supposed to... with the right banana. I have to say, once on twice it's not. Either it's too curvy for the box or the stem is too wide. But when it does work, it's perfect. Even when it's not perfect, it protects the banana better than without anything.One note: it does evoke a toy for adult a bit... I wouldn't take it out of my purse in public without fearing a comment from a co-worker.

I love the idea behind this banana protector but I find that it damages the banana just putting it inside the bunker. My banana will not get bruised from being put in my bag, but it will have a bruise from being forced into the bunker.

I could not have asked for a more pleasing tool for my entertainment and enjoyment... of delicious bananas, of course.

It doesn't quite fit the curvature of bananas. The part that bends does not stay in the shape you bend it to and then ends up bruising the banana. It would be better if it popped into the shape you need it and then stayed that way.

I bought this for a Christmas secret santa gift, as a joke, for a co-worker who had an issue with another co-worker "smooshing" her banana one day lol. Not only was this a hysterical joke gift, but it actually works well. If you don't like a bruised banana then you need this. You can just throw your banana in your bag or purse and you don't have to worry about it getting squished!!

This is my new favorite go-to gift. Sure, it serves a purpose, but seriously... is that why anyone's buying it? It's hilarious- great when you're opening gifts with a crowd. (It should be required at all bachelorette parties...)
