The protective sleeve that wraps the drum is nice and tight, you know when not to let out any more rope if the red is visible out of the fairlead. The fittings look well secured on both ends. If swapping from steel to synthetic you will need a new hook if the replacement is a larger diameter. The original rope was 5/16" steel, replaced with 3/8" synthetic so the hook wouldn't fit over the thimble. Not a big deal, just want to be aware of it.

Awesome product for the price.Bought another one about 2-1/2 years ago, still in good shape but because of poor anchor applications, the attachment point was a bit frayed. So bought this one and will repair the old one.The new one has a better sheathing, the old one is made from shrink tube.

Looks to have high quality and craftsmanship installed easily came with abrasion sleeve. Going to Moab shortly will know more about how it holds up then.

I talked it on my FJ cruiser. Looks good and works very well. Seems very sturdy so I’m expecting it to hold up well.
