Kids' 680 V6 Hook and Loop Running Shoe

I purchased this exact same shoe for one of my twin boys the last day and Upper West Side shop was open before they needed to close due to the pandemic. That shoe tore near the front toe seam in less than two weeks. And given that schools closed two days later, there was not nearly as much wear and tear as there would normally be for a five year old boy. I contacted that store, and although they were closed, they had someone go into the store to attempt to send me a replacement, but they didn't have the size anymore. So, I shopped on Amazon and ordered the same pair except a half size larger (just in case). In less than one week this time, the seam at the top, near the front toes, separated a little bit. So, this seems to be a New Balance issue. Second pair in two months.

This particular shoe was of poor quality. We have been buying them for our son for years, same style, just different colors. I don’t know why these fit tighter on the sides even with a wide shoe order. Also the tongue of the shoe is so flimsy. There is no logo on the tongue and it is thinner than ever. All our other NB were so much better than this pair. We are keeping them only because we are desperate but it’s disappointing and harder for our son to put them on himself vs his old pairs. ☹️I would try to get a refund if possible but who can deal with complications now with all that is going on.

I wonder if this is fake—there are obvious defects (rubber coming up at the welding point at the heel), and the way the fabric Of the padding on the side internally is attached inside is in each shoe—in one it is peeling off its glue, and in the other it’s not even glued in, creating a flap that all kinds of dirt will get into.Shoe is also a rather lurid color and the design looks ungainly. It all smells rather odd.Stay away.

My 2.5 year old son has an extremely high instep along with wide feet. New Balance shoes are the only ones that seem to fit him and don't cost $50+ for a pair he'll grow out of in a matter of months. We are unable to get his foot all the way down into most shoes, let alone close or fasten over the top of his foot. I ordered these in X-wide and his feet slide in easily. You can see how high his instep is as the Velcro still doesn't fasten all the way to the ends but his shoes stay on and they seem comfortable. Note: not all New Balance sneakers are the same fit. We had to return a different style bc despite ordering a wide, no amount of cramming would get his heel down into the shoe. These are great though.

Very poor quality product. I don’t want to be too harsh on the comments that I am leaving, but quite frankly, I was very disappointed about my purchase. Considering New Balance it’s a good brand, and I know that from having adults sneakers from them( both purchases and gifts), but it was the first time I was buying the kids version on Amazon for my son. I bought it for him on Amazon because I wanted the delivery fast because I needed it for him fast for something. I knew if I ordered from Amazon I would get it as soon as the next day if possible, instead, if I ordered it from NB, the delivery might take longer for the reason I needed it. But to be honest, I think the pair that was delivered from Amazon, wherever it came from, it’s either a fake or a previously used one that was refurbished. But I am pretty sure it’s the second one from what I noticed. They look cheap for the brand. The way the different pieces are glued together with dark spots in between them, made them look dirty, something that has been worn. I found a little scratch( look like a hole) on the side, that even, if something was pushed against the sneakers during shipment, would not cause that. The bottom of the sneakers is too spongy and soft for the New Balance brand. because they are usually hard and sturdy. The back of the bottom of it, one side is higher than the other, they are uneven, something that someone usually start noticing when someone has been wearing shoes or sneakers for a while and for some reason one side of the feet is pressing down more on the bottom than the other. The fabric material is cheap and inside of the sneakers look like things that they did by hand by an inexperienced person. I am not saying it’s fake, because most of the time (if it’s not always), whenever they imitate a brand and create a fake product, it’s always good quality, but not just the real brand, but the ones that I bought looked more they have been worn before than fake. Be vigilant when buying good brand products from a different company than the brand company, because they might give you something else for your money without making you aware of that in advance. Overall, everything about that sneakers look odd and questionable to me for such a good brand.

I am so disappointed with the quality of these shoes, I should have listened to the other reviews about the shoes falling apart. I buy my son a pair every year bc they are the only ones that offer extra wide to accommodate my son's feet. His last pair of the exact same shoe lasted a year until he grew out of them. One month after buying these I noticed holes in the sides and then within a week the top completely popped open as well! This was just outside the return window but I contacted Amazon to tell them about the condition and they offered me a refund. Great Amazon customer service, very poor quality product. So disappointed in New Balance this time around.

The widest width I have found for kids. Bought this style for years in the NB brand. They machine wash well and last.

New Balance shoes are normally well worth the high price so I usually buy my granddaughter and me a pair every year. But this time the shoe I bought was made cheap looking. The tongue of the shoe folds over at the sides instead of being smooth and straight .They are looking pretty worn out and I just bought them 4 weeks ago. I also ordered a half size larger than she actually wears and they fit exactly like her old shoes and that's what I didn't want. I wanted them larger so she could wear them longer. I'm really disappointed in these shoes, especially since the price was $50.00. I'm not sure if I will be buying new balance shoes again.

Excellent. My toddler has enormous, wide feet. New Balance shoes are the only brand that she can fit into comfortably. Excellent quality. I got these for a terrific price too. Worth every cent. Will re-purchase when my daughter outgrows the current size.

They fit perfect. True to size and great shoes. I got these for my sons flat feet and they are amazing

Ripped after one month with just few uses. We had the same model before and it lasted a full year. Not sure what's wrong with this version or if this is a real new balance. This was a waste of money
