I have not seen quality manufacturing like this in decades. THIS is what American manufacturing SHOULD be!The individual parts are sturdy and heavy duty. The quality of the manufacturing process jumps out at you. Every pre-drilled hole is precisely correct - screws went in exactly as they should! The alignment of every hole was exactly where it should be. Every one that should be there was there and where is should be. You just don't find that often enough anymore. I didn't realize how rare it is until I got these!The instructions were simple, clear and understandable! I have to say that twice because it is so worth repeating..... The instructions were simple, clear and understandable! With most things I get today, I'm never really sure what the instructions are saying and generally rely on trial and error to get it right. Not with Rev-a-Shelf. And if all else fails, visit their website and they have a video for installation! (Not that I needed them because the instructions were good. I stumbled on it while searching for products for all my cabinets.)After I bought this "Pull-Out Wood Foil Wrap/Tray Divider Cabinet Organizer" for a base cabinet that was so narrow I knew I wouldn't really be able to use it without a pull-out, I was so impressed with the quality, functionality and the ease of use it gives me, that I bought Rev-a-Self for each of my base cabinets and a couple of the pull out spice racks for a couple of narrow wall cabinets.If you ended up with 9" cabinets in some places, like to provide cosmetic symmetry as I did, these Rev-a-Shelf pull-out gave me back space that I had written off as unusable.But even for normal sized base cabinets, where I would otherwise need to be kneeling on the ground to reach things in the back, and therefore limited on what could actually go there without risking the need to take out everything in front of it, these have been a fantastic addition. As I get older, bending far down or getting back up from kneeling has become problematic, making these pull-outs great for me.Wish I could give these 10 stars. Quality and workmanship I haven't seen since I was young. Relative to other things I have given 5 stars, it isn't fair I can't give these twice as many stars.

A bit pricey. Fits everything we need in it. Flat Pans, foil, cutting boards. I would definitely recommend going to YouTube and watching the install video because the manuals are a big NO help. Almost gave up and returned. But luckily YouTube has everything.

The product is every bit as well built as other reviews claim -- you get what you pay for in that regard. And they did think of a lot of details, though not every detail. So once it gets from the box to a finished installation, you will be happy. The problem is that little matter of installing it. I was fortunate enough to install mine in an island before the countertop was installed. I have no idea how you would do it otherwise, but let's disregard that for now. The "30 minute" installation is a bit of a joke. Unless you've done it before, count on at least three hours.The product arrives with the business end attached to the sliding base. So your first job is to detach the latter from the former. They provide some unclear instructions for how to do this. It is vaguely similar to removing drawers with ball bearing slides, but more difficult. The latches are much more difficult to find and manipulate. If, like me, you have to remove it again after installation (more in a moment), forget about it. Just remove the whole unit in that case.So figure on 45 minutes and some sore fingers just to disassemble the top from the bottom. Once you succeed, it's time to install the bottom in the cabinet. They do provide a template, which is helpful. Take your time to get it positioned straight and properly, then mark your holes. Remove the template, drill the front holes and install the two front screws. In my case that was difficult because the screws were missing. No big deal, if like me you're a pack rat and have a hardware store in your garage. Anyway, when you're done with the front, recheck for straightness, then drill and install the two back screws.The next step is difficult and I messed it up. It's time to slide the top onto the base that you just installed. And it has to be right. In my case I did not engage the middle slider properly, and the unit didn't slide properly. After much fiddling, I realized that I needed to disassemble the top from the base and try again. Unfortunately, this is next to impossible. Much easier to pull the top out as far as it will go, then remove the four base screws that you installed, and then work with the unit outside of the cabinet. Once you resolve the slider situation (if you had a slider situation), just reinstall it.Once the unit is installed and sliding properly, you can set the stops in the back that prevent the unit from sliding out too far. And they also give you guides, which install on the inner face of the cabinet opening. Nice touches, don't neglect them.If all is well, you can install the cabinet door. This is easy in principle, but it is very difficult in practice to get it exact. They do provide adjustments in the Z direction (into the front plane of the cabinet). But it is very hard to adjust in the X and Y axes. So, basically, take your time and drill the holes in the cabinet door carefully because you only get one shot (well, technically I guess you could get two by turning the door upside down).If you have not bought the unit, I would mention two other issues that are not issues with the product, but issues with my own planning. First, if you plan to install one of these things, order a door without hinges. It's a waste, and visually unappealing, to have a door with hinge installation sockets on the inside face. Second, it's a shame in general to have to install a 5" unit into a 9" cabinet. So, again, choose your cabinet geometry carefully ahead of time. In the end, this is a very well-built product that you won't regret owning. But plan ahead on the cabinet design, and plan on a challenging installation.

I was supposed to get this item in my cabinet order from the company I used, but there was a mixup in our order. I had to order one on my own, so I bought this one and it is perfect, just like ordering from the Rev-a-shelf company. It works great and plenty of storage room in it, I am so glad I spent the money to get this unique custom custom pull out tray drawer.

This is the perfect solution to a narrow cabinet that is only good for baking pans or cutting boards. The carpenter installed it quickly towards the end of the remodel. It is sturdy, attractive, well designed. It glides smoothly and soundlessly. For my needs I removed the (easily removable) center support and it works better for me that way.

I installed this rev a shelf before my countertops went on. It was very easy that way as I could put my head inside and measure easily. It is sturdy and very well-made. It holds a lot of cutting boards for me in the perfect place right where I do my chopping and next to my waste basket. I absolutely love it!

I had a small space - 6 inches wide - to fill by the oven and this worked great. The template provided made it a breeze to install. Very sturdy. I'm happy and look forward to long use.

The media could not be loaded. My cabinets are not standard so I was afraid it wouldn’t fit but took the chance and it JUST fit. Since then I love it and my back loves it too, less bending over to try to find things. It’s a game changer!
