Great Dimmable LED light bulb to upgrade pool light!
We are really happy with the light! It seems they upgraded and now you can dimm it with the remote. If your remote is not working, make sure it is turned on with the R side sliding switch. Also, the remote doesn’t work well if you point towards the light/water. You just have to make sure that the antenna is all the way out and pointing straight up towards the sky. The light bulb works with our Z-Wave switch, great for adding it to our home automation/SmartThings. I hope this helps someone else!

Have to get close for remote to work.
Looks and works great but only when the remote works. I ended up putting my remote in a waterproof phone bag/case and then use it while in the pool touching the light cover. Otherwise, the remote does not work. You literally have to be zero inches from the light.

Good brightness and value for money, great upgrade to the pool!
It’s a really nice light. Brightness better than original. Good value for the money. The ‘white’ mode is easily brighter than the original incandescent bulb. It was a direct replacement and worked with my existing 300w transformer. The remote control won’t work very well if you install the light in a metal housing like the Hayward housing I have. The metal housing blocks the signal for the remote control. You can switch the lights by cycling the switch on and off, but I also found the remote works with my metal housing if I stand right near the light and point the antenna at it, or it I touch the antenna to the switch on the wall. Also, for some reason it doesn't come with a battery for the remote, so you will also have to buy an A23 battery. It has lots of programs and lights up the pool really well. All in all a cool upgrade to the pool area.

Love this!
The media could not be loaded. I love this light. It is so pretty at night. Make sure you order batteries for the remote and a new seal.

Color stopped working on second day
We were excited at the prospect of having multi colored led lighting in the pool. Purchased this light because it was reasonably priced and had great delivery time. However, it was difficult to install and the red color light stopped working almost immediately. If it was not so difficult to install, we would have taken in out and returned it. Now all we have is a multi colored light that won't turn red or purple, as advertised. Also, the remote control is almost worthless. What good is a remote control if you have to be within a foot of the light for it to function. You have to actually extend the antenna and put it underwater close to the light before it will work. Spend the money an get one that works.

Works as expected.
When I originally bought this light and installed it the light worked for 3-4 minutes and then stopped. I ordered a replacement and received it in a couple of days. Upon taking out the pool light fixture and testing the fixture with a meter I discovered that the fixture was bad. I ordered a new fixture and installed the old LED I had purchased into it and tested it and it worked fine. I installed the fixture back into my pool and tested the light and the remote and they both worked perfectly! I can use the remote from the other end of my pool without any problems ( 38' away ). Will post night pictures soon.

Remote is terrible and RED is worthless
We like the non red colors that this bulb produces, particular the blue. Red just doesn't travel through the water - don't bother to try it.The remote only works if I hold it right in front of the light under water, so it is nicely triple bagged in zip lock bags. Still trying ti figure out how to change colors by turning the light on and off. Doesn't seem to work for me.But very happy to convert to 12V. I used a Hatch 60W LED transformer. I was never happy on having a 110V light in my pool - always worried me if the GFIC failed.Hopefully, newer products will come along soon that will resolve the remote control issue and offer even brighter bulbs. Plus better diffusing of the colors would be nice - when you select "white", all it does is turn on all ( RGB ) LEDs. So if you swim under water, you see the colors rather than pure white. ( not a big deal but I thought I would mention it )For about $100 ( bulb plus gasket ) I am pleased with the result and I will probably change it out in a couple of years when bulbs/remotes get better.Would have probably given it 5 stars if the remote worked just by putting antenna in the water as advertised.Update - stopped working after 6 days - it had blown the 12v transformer. I replaced the transformer with a higher rated model and guess what? Lasted 6 minutes before destroying second transformer!!! Fortunately, I was still in my return window, so the bulb was sent back to Amazon.Hence I changed my rating from 4 stars to 1 star.

Remote sucks
The remote is such a big joke, that they give you a water proof bag, so the remote can be used underwater, right next to the light, because the signal is weak. The antenna is wobbly too, as if it isn’t properly installed. I am lucky enough for mine to be used out of the water. I couldn’t imagine having to dunk your hand, in the pool, with the remote in a bag, so you can change the settings. Mine didn’t come with a battery either. If they made the remote antenna/signal better, I wouldn’t complain at all.
