I love this soap as a shampoo! I am transitioning to my natural silver hair at age 55, and have been shaking up my hair routines that I’ve followed for many years. Trying this bar has been one of the changes, and I am hooked! It lathers beautifully, smells great, and leaves my shoulder length hair feeling great. I like to shampoo every day, because I love the feeling of fresh washed hair, and this shampoo bar has not been drying at all. (I just wash my scalp....and rinse the bubbles through the rest.). I also love the natural ingredients and that it is so earth friendly. I will purchase many more. Thank you for this product.

Excellent product. Well crafted, lathers better than lots of "commercial" products and rinses like a dream. Love the smell. Will definitely keep buying. Nice to be able to purchase a product that's made by people that actually care about what they are doing.

I love this soap! It smells great (I find it almost spicy, a little like cinnamon), and the botanical oils in it leave my skin soft, even now that it's winter. I also really like that they use minimal packaging--scraps of spare cardboard, apparently--and that the soap is all natural. (On a side note I also love their Honey Oat body balm--it's really helped my prone-to-cracking lips, especially when worn overnight). As much as I love the Yucca Root soap as a...well..as a soap, I washed my hair with it a few times since it's also a shampoo bar, and it left my already oily hair feeling very heavy and waxy. (The vinegar rinse that they recommend did help, though, and I actually like it so much I've stopped using conditioner and use only vinegar water). To be fair, they do say to give it at least a week to adjust to a natural shampoo, so maybe I was just too impatient. All in all, a great product and I'm glad I found it. I have a few of A Wild Soap Bar's other kinds of soap coming in the mail and I can't wait to try them!

I feel like it’s made my hair a bit fuller—less light and patchy. I feel it whatever is in would make a better style and nourishment product. I use it to clean and strengthen hair and bring the waves in—I’m a black man with coarse hair. Takes a little extra work to build up a good lather. Has a good scent too.

I received a bar of this as a Christmas present and was immediately in love with the smell.I initially used it to wash my hands and found it to work up a great lather, but then became interested in the odor control aspect and its versatility for washing hair also.I have very fine, thin, oily hair and was hesitant. I can’t express how impressed I was with the end result. My hair was soft, fluffy and manageable and didn’t appear to get as oily as fast as it had in the past.I use this as a shampoo twice a week, using my regular shampoo the other days, to avoid the potential of stripping necessary oils.I wish there was a conditioning bar to go along with it, I’d be all in! 😊

I bought this yucca soap to wash my hair with it once a month or so since I love Native American skin and hair care! This yucca soap doesn't have much of an smell - at least mine didn't but I loved the fact that it lathers really well and comes in ZERO plastic which is something very important to me. I have switched to buying soap bars since over a decade now so no more plastic bottles for me and the dogs..!I also felt that while I love the purity and the quality of the soap, for the price the bar could be n ounce or two more..! It is a very small sized bar especially as compared to other soap bars with high quality ingredients. Other than that, I would say buy it and you will love it especially because the company's customer service is excellent - my package got lost and Maggie took excellent care of the issue so I have to say I am definitely going to be a repeat customer as I highly value good customer service.Happy to support a small business and that too, made in the U.S...! with ZERO plastic.

I use this soap to wash my face. I've been using it for about 4 months and it has not dried out my skin or caused it to break out. Other soaps designed for face use usually left my skin feeling not-so-clean, too dry, or caused me to break out (I am prone to breakouts). I'll continue to use it until the situation changes. Something I should mention is this soap has little granule type things in it (sorry I am not really sure what they are) it helps exfoliate the skin but be sure to keep it away from your eyes (something to keep in mind with all soaps with granules that you use on your face).I have a pixie cut so I cannot say how well it works as a shampoo for long hair.I'd recommend this soap to anyone willing to spend a little more than usual on bar soap. I will most likely buy it again for face washing and shampooing.

I was looking for an alternative to Lush solid shampoos but this once doesn’t fit the bill. I was hoping this would be more clarifying or at least cleansing with the tea tree and eucalyptus in it, but it left my hair feeling flat, heavy, and greasy. It just didn’t clean my hair and scalp much at all. My hair usually feels fresh and has decent volume after a wash but the day after using this my hair was lifeless and limp. I’ve used it 3 times with a a couple days between washes, which is my normal routine.There are tiny gritty bits throughout the soap that make it pretty harsh to use on your body, let alone your face. Honestly it would be best as a foot scrub.The smell is fine. A bit herbal and woodsy, kind of reminds me of root beer but not sweet. This is a great root beer scented foot scrub and a terrible solid shampoo.
