I really like this tool. **Q: How do you keep the correct blade angle when sharpening? 18 to 22 °** A: Well if your blade is wide enough, with a flat blade face, you could get one of those magnetic angle finder and stick it on the knife when using this sharpener. You also would wanna lay the rod horizontally on a leveled surface to drastically reduce any unwanted movement while being used. **Q: Will this work for sharpening a karambit knife?** A: You could for a quick sharpen.
