Save On Costly Corrective Shoe Inserts
Love these inserts. My podiatrist suggested these instead of costly custom inserts and I believe he was right. I have flat feet and these give me the perfect support. I have a pair in all my shoes.

Great alternative to expensive custom insoles
At the urging of my wife (and her podiatrist), I purchased these instead of the custom ones you get at the running store or other specialty store.Verdict: I am just as happy with these at a fraction of the cost. In fact, I have purchased multiple pairs for my other shoes.

They feel really good but squeak a lot
When I first put the PowerStep insoles in my shoes, I was very pleasantly surprised about how they provided just the right kind of support to my sore arches. For me they were exceptionally comfortable, and I have tried lots of different options. (Fit is very individual, so you should expect to try multiple insoles of different brands to find one that works well for you.) The reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is that they squeak when I walk, which is really annoying. I think they could eliminate the squeaking with a simple design modification by including some ridges on the under side the way Blue SuperFeet do it.

Good for lower arches
I've found that not all inserts fit in all shoes. With older flatter feet, the standard Power Step insoles felt like I had acorns in my arches. These lower arch versions work wonderfully with my Merrill hiking boots and Keens. Not so much with running shoes and trail shoes. Had to switch to Walk Hero inserts for those. But the Walk Heroes did not feel as good in the hiking boots and Keens. Weird.

Can’t remove OME insert
So the shoes come with an insert that is basically nothing, except that they are glued to the bottom of the shoe and impossible to remove. This insert needs to be inserted by itself. I found a pair of shoes where I could remove the insert, and then placed this pad in there instead. My foot was squished into the shoe and my toe went numb right away. Not sure that I’m going to keep these, but I have a few days to try them out in the house.

Durable
The VA was issuing these to all veterans with foot issues in the late 90s. That's when I first got turned on to Powersteps. I've been buying them ever since. The inserts in the pictures are 10 years old. Besides the foam being wore out they're still working the arches are still there. I've purchased a pair for all of my shoes boots and workout sneakers.

Get your prescription orthotic
I have a low arch on my left foot and my right foot is flat. this schmuck podiatrist wanted to save me money, so he recommended this is what a mistake my left hip and left knee pain became unbearable. I jumped on Celebrex because of it I was thinking my pain came from my lower back ablation due to my herniated disc, but it wasn’t, once I got in a prescription orthotic, my knee and hip pain went away within two days I’d beat myself up mentally knowing something wasn’t right it wasn’t coming from my 1994 herniated disc and it definitely wasn’t coming from the back ablation. It was this stupid over-the-counter orthotics , if you truly want optimal alignment get a prescription orthotic. I would pay $1000. I paid 400$ for my prescription orthotic, and it was worth every penny. And can you believe I bought three pairs of these over-the-counter orthotics? What a waste of money they’re in the garbage now. I’m able to walk on the treadmill do the stairmaster without any pain, hip and knee pain is gone.. if you are in a lot of pain and you have a lot of inflammation get prescription orthotics and you might also need a cycle of methyl prednisone, so give yourself a fresh start. A lot of all inflammation is because we’re walking incorrectly and we need orthotics that are fitted for our feet so we can be in proper alignment. It makes a difference..
