Review: Not your average kid’s lunch box - I love Bentgo boxes and I’m a fan of stainless steel products, so I naturally had to purchase this product. I wasn’t disappointed. Here’s what I love about this lunch box: 1. It’s completely dishwasher safe! Every single thing can go in and it comes out super clean and shiny. In my dishwasher the colored top shows water spots but that doesn’t bother me. It saves SO much time. 2. I LOVE having the silicone insert to split the sections so you can have multiple. I actually wish it came with more of those or there was a package of different sizes and shapes you could buy. For instance, a small one for dipping sauces would be so helpful! 3. It’s perfect for older kids or adults! I bought this originally for my young kids and my husband actually uses it at work every day. It is surprising how much can fit in this one lunch box. See my photo of a full sized sandwich in the left spot! 4. If you make your lunch the night before and leave it in the fridge, the stainless steel becomes its own fridge and you don’t really need to refrigerate it before lunch. Helpful things to note: 1. If you choose to use this in your dishwasher it does take up a lot of room because the top and bottom do not separate and you have to lay it out for it to get washed (see picture). 2. The new updated models are easy to open and close! I had bought this same product years ago and they’ve improved this feature. 3. The portion sizes in this lunch box version are bigger than those in the plastic Bentgo Kids boxes which is nice if you want to include a sandwich, quesadilla etc. I think this version works for kids and adults of all ages. The larger spaces give you a lot of flexibility to put whatever you want in them and it has a cool factor to the design as well.

I love Bentgo boxes and I’m a fan of stainless steel products, so I naturally had to purchase this product. I wasn’t disappointed. Here’s what I love about this lunch box: 1. It’s completely dishwasher safe! Every single thing can go in and it comes out super clean and shiny. In my dishwasher the colored top shows water spots but that doesn’t bother me. I bought this Bentgo Kids Stainless Steel Leak proof lunch container for my grandson for school for the fall. His brother has one and it is perfect for lunches! Easy to open and keeps things in place and cool for a refreshing lunch! Doesn’t leak, keeps cool, and a very nice size to hold a good amount of food for lunch! Highly recommend!

### ⭐ Too expensive to be immediately defective

I read the reviews from other purchasers, and I was worried about the hinges/clasps but figured I'd give this shot (because for some reason I thought it would turn out better for me, lol ok). I love the stainless steel, I love the size of the compartments and the little silicone cup (I'm a sucker for the little features). Its pretty slim which is also really nice to slide into a backpack and tbh my son thought it looked like a fun little laptop. Whatever gets you through the day, ya know? I bought two of these so my kids wouldn't be endlessly fighting over them; one of them is fine, but the other had clasps popping open on its maiden voyage. Before I even put food in it! I thought maybe it needed time to stretch out its little jonts and hinges and used it for a short car trip. Wrong! the clasps never closed completely, and they still don't. The clasps click and close on the top, vs other bentgo containers where they click shut on the bottom. Those feel really secure and you can hear the "click" to know they're fully closed and airtight. These just kind of slide into place without much of a click - it honestly surprises me that the closing mechanism feels a bit faulty and poorly made for something that otherwise feels really solid. The plastic the clasps are made with honestly feel cheap and like a total afterthought. I know little tiny hands need to be able to open these but the clasps slide on and then just slip right back off 75% of the time I close it, and I'm only 4 days into owning it. And even though closes pretty decently without the clasps, I'm not spending fifty dollars (!) for something which carries the risk of a child haphazardly throwing it in after lunch, with all the stuff he told me he ate, but didn't really, and then the whole backpack is covered in strawberry juice and smeared peanut butter at the end of a long day. I need things to make my life easier, not things that make me swear more. Supes grateful for free returns. byeeeeeee!
