Indexing Spin Jigs 5C Drilling Mill Lathe Grinding Collet 5C Fixture Drill

Spindle is almost impossible to turn.
The spindle was almost impossible to turn by hand using the supplied handle. I took the unit apart and had to use a 3 pound lead weight to pound the spindle out of the cast iron housing. The bore of the housing was very roughly machined. I clamped the housing in a vice and used a large half round file to knock down the high spots left by the very rough machining - grooves you could hook a bent nail onto. After this I reassembled it and it worked fine. This product was what I would call a semi machined kit rather than a usable item. I have not yet checked if the spindle axis is parallel to the base. The "machined" left and right faces of the housing are at least 0.010" out of square to the base but this is inconsequential. I have not yet checked if the end faces are perpendicular with the spindle axis. This is important. I suspect not given the sloppy manufacture of the unit.

Nice unit
I drilled holes in the base so I could just bolt the indexer to the mill table with t-nuts. I also added pins (second picture, red circled) to quickly square the unit on the table. The 1/2" X 1/2" square tube is mounted on the back of the indexer base with large holes. This allowed me to square the unit, then tighten the tube in place. To use the indexer, I just push it against the back of the slot and bolt it down.I'm happy with this purchase.
