I bought this as an enrichment toy for pet rats. I fill it with Cheerios, Yogies, and cheese puffs and the rats love getting them out. It comes apart for easy cleaning of the inside (use a Phillips head screwdriver and remove the screws). So far it’s held up to daily use.

I've been using this as a foraging toy filled with treats to keep my cockatiels busy. It's not the easiest to fill with treats since since it doesn't open (and much of what I put in can roll out of the hexagon holes). However it's very well made and sturdy.

This product promotes itself as being study enough to stand up to a parrot. It is NOT. For the fifteen buck purchase price you would expect a product that would LAST. This one does not.The "sturdy" part is the clear plastic box. It is filled with colorful little shapes made of wood. My parrot took each one of these out of the box, broke the wood into pieces and scattered it onto the floor of his cage. Total play time was just 25 minutes.

Amazing! My bird can’t destroy this yet enjoys it so much! Fun to fill with wooden pieces, shredded paper, nuts, Nutraberries and banana chips. I always hang no toys outside the cage at first so as not to frighten him with something new. I’ve left it there because it’s much easier to fill and it certainly does not slow him down. I think we’re both having fun with that. Great price too!

I bought two of these foraging treasure chest toys. My Congo African Grey and SI Eclectus LOVE them. They have had them for almost a week and are on them steady when in their cages. I put the wood beads back inside a number of times each day, but that sure beats buying toys that they destroy in seconds. Of course, they have the destructible toys too, but this is an inexpensive, durable, wonderful toy that keeps them entertained for hours. I highly recommend! UPDATE: We have had these for over six months now and they are STILL the favorite toy of both of my birds! I have bought refills for the wooden pieces inside but also use these as a dispenser for fresh organic veggies after going to the farmers market. I stick green beans, pea pods, cherry tomatoes, carrots, etc. through the various holes, with some veggies sticking out and others nestled inside. My birds love it! This is hands-down the best foraging toy I've found for my birds!

I ordered this for my African grey, it's smaller than expected, but has held up well, considering how destructive these birds are. Didn't take him long to get the wood blocks out and make confetti of them, but it's still a great treat/forage box. Would recommend

I got this per the behaviorist suggestion. I put nuts in the box to motivate him. He bangs it around to get stuff to fall, and gets mad at it sometimes for swinging where he doesn't want it. He's been chewing pretty hard on one part, and it's held up great so far.

I have a full grown macaw and she just shakes it and the pieces fall out. The pieces should be a little larger so it's not so easy to fall out.
