Saved me from buying a new razor. Fit perfect and better shave now

I bought a replacement for my year old foil and cutters. I had hoped the replacements would give a more comfortable shave than the originals, No such luck! I then compared the SPF-300 Intercept Cutter with my old shaver, an M2830 - a really good shaver. I noticed the intercept cutter on the SPF-300 felt stiffer than on the SP-282. Specifically, the SPF-300 didn't press down as easily as the SP-280. Also, the intercept cutter on the SPF-300 was much wider than on the SP-282. So I went 'outside the box' and eliminated the intercept cutter on the SPF-300! I used my OLD foil assembly as a test and I depressed the tab on one end of the intercept cutter and lifted it up and out of the foil assembly. The other end came apart more easily. Voila!! Be careful not to loose the tiny springs at each end. I then used the foil assembly without the Intercept Cutter and I got a shave without that "razor burn" feeling. The Intercept cutter was confirmed as the source of irritation.. Now that I knew it could be done without damaging the foil assembly, I repeated the same for my new SPF-300. I know this is not what we wanted when we bought an Electric Razor that uses the SPF-300. But, if you want a smooth shave, without irritated skin, I strongly suggest you remove the Intercept Cutter. You have two options: 1) use the shaver without the Intercept cutter or, 2) replace the Intercept cutter WITHOUT the springs. The former could leave some shaver dust in your sink (I haven't noticed this though) while option two will close the 'hole' and prevent any dust from falling out, the clicking sound of the now non-spring loaded Intercept Cutter was a noise I didn't need to listen to. If you are 'handy' and can use a small screwdriver, I suggest you experiment on an old assembly first and then on your current foil head. I think you will appreciate the smoother shave. You will still need to make multiple passes but, that was always the case with an electric shaver. BTW, I have been shaving with electric shavers since 1967. I know shavers! Note to Remington: the SPF-300 vs. the SP282 1) has the foils too far apart, 2) has springs that are too stiff for the Intercept cutter, 3) cannot stretch and keep skin smooth because the distance between foils is too far apart. The SP-282 is sized better for a smoother more comfortable shave. Bring back the SP-282 size AND configuration on a "Pivot and Flex" shaver and you will have a potential 'best buy' electric shaver.

My shaver works like new again!

I bought a knock-off brand, and it fell apart. It didn't even fit just right. So, I opted to buy this one and not only did it fit perfectly, but the blades looked and felt so much better. I will buy this brand from now on.

OEM Fit. Which is expected when the product is manufactured by Remington. Cost comparison between here and the actual site is pennies, or should I say nickels. If it holds up for a year, I'll be back!

It's for my old shaver.

The long lasting charge is the best. Don't know how good is the pull and push mechanism for head removal as seems may wear off after multiple pulling out the head for washing/cleaning. My earlier Panasonic had a push button to release the head and lasted me 4 years till the battery stopped retaining charge for even one shave

Easy to change perfect fit

Gosto desse aparelho pois dá um acabamento mais rente do que o "phillips acqua touch". Faço uma pré barba com aparelho Chines ( chamado aparelho dragão) e depois o Remington para acabamento final. Não dá para usar o Remington ou mesmo o Phillips em barba com mais de 5 dias porque esses aparelhos puxam os pelos ao inves de cortar. Essa cabeça Remington dura muito (acredito que em torno de 10 anos)e deve ser trocada quando quebra entre qualquer um dos furinhos porque dessa forma pode ocorrer cortes na pele do rosto ou pescoço ao se barbear. É uma peça de substituição cara para nós Brasileiros ( 19 dolares lá na Amazon dos EUA), mas se diluir ao longo dos anos acaba por compensar esse investimento pessoal.
