Work great! I wish I wouldโve purchased the larger size but their pretty awesome either way.You definitely donโt need a bucket to toss with the ones I bought.

Nice and big
My family likes to play games, including dice games. In the summer, we spend a lot of time on the patio and don't always like to just sit there. This will help us actually get UP and play something It can get hot, so wiffleball, kickball, etc. games don't seem to last too long. Horse basketball and cornhole are more my speed! ha ha!! This is a set of 6 big wooden dice. They don't need batteries, they don't need a net set up, just dice. They are big, so you really just throw one at a time. I don't think dumping them out of a bucket or something would work. It comes with the dice, a drawstring bag, and a few laminated cards for 2 games (a yahtzee type game and another dice game), and a dry erase marker. It contains 2 cards for each game. I am not sure why only two of each instead of four, I guess you play on teams? It doesn't really matter as we can keep score on paper, but if 4 would have been nice. Although, since you are throwing one at a time for each "roll", that may take a long time for 4 people to play individually. We plan on playing on the grass. I suppose the dice would work on concrete or something, but they would get really beat up quickly as they are wood. You don't have to play the enclosed games, you can play a different dice game, or you could make up any game you want. Younger kids might even like the math lesson by playing something like "shut the box."I like it as it is a simple, outdoor game that doesn't take any set up. We look forward to playing it as soon as the weather gets nice around here!

Fun!
This dice set is great fun to play with outside. The quality is reasonable for the price; these aren't "heirloom quality" wooden pieces because a couple of the dice have visible wood filler and a little bit of sap, but you'll just be throwing them on the ground so it's not like it really matters if they aren't perfect. They're going to get dinged up over time anyway. They're solid pine wood, and 6 cubes of 3.5" each is quite a lot of wood, so the price is really pretty good for what you get. The numbers on each face are branded in rather than printed, so they won't wear off over time. The set comes with a carrying/storage case, an erasable marker, and some laminated score sheets with two games: "Dicezee" and "Yardkle", which are obviously based on "Yahtzee" and "Farkle". It's nice that you can reuse the score sheets, although it would be nicer if they were made of laminated card rather than laminated paper.I got the 3.5" dice and they're bigger than I expected, which is great. They actually measure 3 and 9/16". I got the kit with the bag and not the bucket, but you really need a bucket to roll them all once so I'd recommend spending a little extra to get the kit with the bucket, unless, of course, you already have a bucket you can use. This set is a lot of fun to play with outdoors. It's a perfect family game for summer evenings in the back yard. You'll definitely get your money's worth in entertainment. It would also make a fun and unique gift for a family.

They'll get your attention
I use these dice for different games in my classroom. The fact that they are super oversized makes any use of them entertaining for my middle school students since they all want to roll them. They hold up well under heavy use.

Quality large wooden dice
These are nice wooden dice. They are heavy and large. Each die is about the size of a rubix cube, and the wood that they are made out of is solid. They come with a drawstring bag that is convenient for carrying the dice. I have a similar set that came in a bucket, and the bag is much more compact and easy to store. These come with a dry erase marker and laminated scoresheets for playing Farkle and Yahtzee. You can use the score cards for playing the games with standard sized dice as well and not have to print, make, or buy scoresheets again.

Great Value For The Cost
I'm not sure what people are complaining about with these dice. In my opinion, it's a really nice set, at a very affordable price. For the $25 that the company is asking, you couldn't barely cover the cost making them yourself! Currently a 4x4x8 piece of pine is right around $20.Yes, these are nothing fancy, but they are sanded, a coat of polyurethane is applied, and the dots are uniformly placed. They are made out of cheap construction lumber, and the poly isn't applied the smoothest, but for something that's going to be thrown around your backyard, it's plenty fine. The dice holes are simply pressed into the wood, or perhaps burned, it's hard to tell. I didn't find any obvious cracks inside the wood, so clearly some quality control must be happening. They also come with very nice laminated instructions/game cards, a dry erase marker, and a canvas bag with a drawstring that they all nicely fit in. For the price these are a bargain!
