... do NOT copy the installation shown in photograph 3, which is DANGEROUS, not because both neutral (blue) wires are not attached properly, but because both of the cable clamps are secured to the conductors (the wires carrying current), instead of to the external sheath. The risk is that any force on the cable (not at all uncommon with appliances to which this switch might be fitted) will be exerted directly on the conductors and potentially expose a live wire if the cord is pulled out. Years ago, before IEE wiring safety regulations were introduced, it was not at all uncommon to read in newspapers of domestic electrocutions, but thankfully that sort of thing is quite rare these days. If you're not confident about installing these properly, get it done by a competent person. On the plus side, these switches are extremely well-made and my overall rating reflects that.

Not the most robust switches, but with care they can be safely wired and do a good job on low powered items, like bedlights etc.Watch when you are wiring this; it is a single pole switch, so ensure the live goes to the correct terminals, the other terminals are passthrough for the Neutral.Safety first: If you are unsure what you are doing, get a qualified sparky to help.

Got these as needed an off switch on an item l could not switch off. These could be used to do this. I felt confident to do this, but if you do not then please get a compitent professional o fit for you.
