Money Well Spent
These little bags are wonderful. The top ties very tight so no coffee spills out at all. I’ve done two brew cycles with one bag (one for coffee to drink and one to freeze into coffee ice cubes) and there is zero spillage of the coffee grounds. Cleaning up is a breeze. I’d highly recommend these bags and look forward to trying them with loose leaf tea.

Makes for weak coffee
I am surprised and a bit skeptical by all the 5 star reviews here, and while I really wanted these to work for us, they failed in multiple ways. I used these for a week, and the most notable issue is that they prevented the coffee from steeping properly. I tried giving it an extra couple minutes, but our coffee was consistently weaker and less flavorful. We are not a coffee snob, but this wasn’t subtle. Also as a bit of annoyance, the bag filled with air as I poured the water over it, so it was tricky to fill the french press. I tried tying the bag off a little better so there wasn’t as much room for air, but that only resulted in even poorer steeping. This wasn’t a deal breaker, but it does point to the bigger problem… bag permeability. If the permeable bag is trapping air, it may also be limiting coffee steeping and bloom, which was why I gave up on these. Otherwise, these are sturdy and easy enough to fill, but I’m not sure what I’d use them for. As much as I hate cleaning the french press, I wouldn't recommend these bags for good coffee.

Works fine so far, even for other purposes, and great value
Shortly after getting this, the wife and I tried making a batch of cold-brew coffee, just enough for the next morning, leaving it overnight. Worked great. Now I'm also using it to contain fruit when making mead. We'll see how that turns out, but it's got to be better than having to clean citrus pulp out of everything, especially the siphon and racking cane, like when I used cut-up oranges directly in it. :-)And to top it off, it's a much better price per bag than I've seen elsewhere.Update: I now have four small batches of mead (quarts) in "secondary fermentation" (flavoring/aging step), with these bags holding flavorings. They seem to work great for that too, with nary a bit of pulp or other non-tiny crud getting in. The flavorings include blackberry (two bags full, total half a pound), lemon (one half, cut up, plus a clove), lime (one, cut up), and ginger (very small diced). From the smell and look (haven't tasted them yet), the meads seem like they have been getting "dosed" with the flavorings just fine.

Can be used in a French Press!
I consider myself a coffee aficionado and I love these bags.I am a germaphobia and decided to clean the bags before use.I used the same cleaner I use to clean my fruits and vegetables. My first use, I used the bag after cleaning, while still wet. This altered the coffee flavor and I thought I wasted my money. My 2nd use, the bag was clean but this time dry (I allowed it to air dry). I enjoyed this cup, the flavor wasn't altered and there wasn't sediment left in my cup. When I use fine grounds, I put my plunger in a normal coffee filter for added filtration. My flavor is not alter and there is no sediment from the fine coffee grinds.

Perfect filter gor cold brew
Perfect size for cold brew beans. Use in addition to cold brew filter to avoid bean particles in coffee. Excellent use

Solves the French press coffee grounds problem
Put the ground coffee in one of these, drop it in the bottom of your french press, add the water (I like to steep it for an extra minute or two to account for the bag) and pour. The bag lifts out and goes straight in the trash or the compost pile. No coffee grounds to scrape/rinse out!

Great flavor
Was using the metal filter that came with my cold brew dispenser. The coffee tasted horrible. I removed the filter and made a new batch with one of these filters, and it's by far the best coffee I've ever had
