One of my favorite gadgets in the kitchen and makes opening tins so much easier, quicker and cleaner. Worth the money. No regrets buying.

Brilliant item. I have a lot of wrist pain and struggle to open cans. This gadget makes opening cans a cinch. The opener opens clans cleanly without sharp edges.

Does the job but doesn't auto stop when finished, just keeps on going.

Tin openers have never been my friends, so the Kitchen Mama electric version caught my eye. It runs on four AA batteries; you set it on the lid, press the button and it trundles round the rim on its own, slicing from the side and leaving a blunt edge. One press sets it off, a second press stops it, and the lid lifts away cleanly. On the plus side, it spares my wrists and means the four-year-old can’t slice her fingers on sharp metal. It has coped with every ordinary can we have tried, and the little motor shows no sign of giving up. In the middle ground, it hums louder than I expected and the plastic casing feels a touch flimsy. As for grumbles, there are no batteries in the box and it can take a moment to latch on to smaller tins. Even with those niggles, the convenience and tidy cut win out, especially if you have arthritis or, like me, big clumsy paws. I would prefer a sturdier build, yet the smooth edges and hands-free action still make it decent value.

For £24.99, this thing is an absolutely SHOCKING waste of money. Baked beans, soup etc - OK but it takes 3-4 times longer than I could do it by hand. Also, the motor appears to be weak - I showed this the edge of a Fray Bentos pie tin and about all it could do was feebly grip the edge of the tin. Bottom line; I wouldn't waste someone else's money on this garbage. Avoid.

Easy to use and works well. This is the first electric can opener I have ever used. I've always had manual can openers. I'm really glad I got this to replace my can opener that stopped working plus the manual ones are so hard to clean and get all gunged up. I think it's safe to use as you don't need to hold it or mess with it. The lid comes off with a smooth edge around the can and you can placed on top of the can if you have any left overs in there and because of the way it's trimmed around the edge, it can be used to cover left over food as a lid. This is really good value for money and I won't be going back to manual can openers again. This can opener is easy to store away, mine is in the curler drawer.

Por el momento ha sido una buena experiencia. Tenía mis dudas por no ver opiniones de México, pero me ha funcionado como promete. Algunas veces no abre bien una lata, pero se soluciona facil al poner nuevamente el abrelatas en la sección que no se termino de cortar y listo (tener cuidado que no de vueltas de más porque puede dejar "pelitos" del aluminio, no me ha pasado, pero es lo que recomiendan). Apróximadamente he abierto unas 20 latas desde que lo tengo, actualizare si me llega a fallar o me causa algún inconveniente. El material es aceptable, se siente resistente para algunas caidas y el uso es bastante sencillo. Realmente no deja partes afiladas ni en la lata, ni en la sección que se desprende.
