Super easy to install, especially on my wonky doors. I don't know how much security they would provide if an intruder is attempting to break in, but these are what I was able to find that worked on my doors. Whether or not they are able to stop someone from attempting to bust down your door, these have given me a piece of mind knowing that someone can't unlock my door and enter while I'm home. I would highly recommend to any renters, especially those who's landlord's have made multiple copies and given them out to various different people.

I purchased a set of these in a shorter size and they would not work given the tiny area right next to the molding I had to mount the chain attachment... the chain was not long enough to get around the molding and to the slot so it could lock... but this size is great!If you have thick molding and need to mount this right next to your door, this length should do the trick.We really use it to keep our 4 year old in as she has a propensity to open the front door and run out into the street frequently. Made sure to mount it just right so her slightly older (but way more cautious) brother could unlock if there was an emergency.

Installed easily enough, but one of the screws in the wall bracket pulled completely out the first time my wife tried to open the door when forgetting the chain was attached.I replaced the short little screws provided with one nearly 2 inches long in order to provide better stability on the bracket that mounts to the wall.

They need to come with anchors. Without them it came out of the wall immediately. If someone tried to open the door hard enough it wouldn't stop them. I added anchors in the wall and then installed again and they hold up pretty well now.

I thought this was a pretty decent product until today, when my husband went to open the door (not noticing that the chain was on), the piece that slides in the track broke in half.

Very easy to install, all the parts you need are included in the package. Feels very sturdy and not cheap, great finish.

I got this for my daughter in a college apartment and she was able to install it herself!
