EltaMDUV Active Mineral Sunscreen with Zinc Oxide

This is a great sunscreen, and I use it on my arms chest and neck. It does initially have a white-purplish cast, but it fades quickly. If you use a ton at first, that white cast is way more apparent, so with practice and experience, you learn how much is enough and not too-much. This really does protect my skin from getting burnt, so when I know I'll be outside for much of the worst part of the day, I am sure to use this on any exposed skin, aside from my face. (I use a facial sunscreen for my face and throat.) Bottom line, this is a trustworthy brand and it works.

I live in a tropical 🏝️ island and the heat is on. I have sensitive skin where other products would mess me up. That this brand they are perfect, light and doesn’t leave a white residue on the skin.

This is very thick, kind of hard to apply and has a serious white cast. But it does what it is supposed to do. I used it on a cruise and didn't get sunburned whatsoever.

This is definitely a sunscreen you want to wear if you’re going to be in the extreme sun all day. I used this at the water park and beach and haven’t gotten burned or even tanned while wearing this.I did take off a point because of the awful white cast and the greasiness of this product. This is definitely not a sunscreen you want to wear daily or under makeup whatsoever. Will you be protected? Absolutely. Will you look like Casper’s greasy uncle? 100%. But it does what it’s advertised to do which is why I still gave it 4 stars.

I started using this sunscreen brand two years ago and have not found any others that work as well. It works well in hot climates, stays on even when sweating and doesn’t break out my sensitive skin. I have not burned since I have been using this sunscreen.

I thought I was buying EltaMD UV sport. I have used this product for a decade and it's lovely. Goes on with no residue and lasts for 8 hours of beach play.I bought 3 bottles or this UV Active product from this seller and it was not good. Goes on like Desitin cream and stays that way all day. Stayed white all day in the beach. Stayed that day for two days and two showers. I had to use a scrubber to get the white off. I had bought three tubes and threw them all away. I will try to make sure I am buying from my usual seller next time.

I have been using this product for years. I like that I am able to order off Amazon, as it is usually sold in a dermatologist office or a med spa. I have very sensitive skin and eyes and chemical sunscreen really irritate my skin and make my eyes water. However, I can put this sunscreen right up underneath my eyes with absolutely no problem and because it is tinted there is no white cast. My mom also uses this sunscreen, and we get compliments on our skin very often. I also think the redness in my skin has calmed down since I've been using this because it doesn't irritate by skin barrier.
