## Overview

TotalBoat FlexEpox is a premium 8-ounce two-part flexible epoxy adhesive designed for permanent, waterproof structural bonds with exceptional flex tolerance. It features an easy 1:1 mix ratio, cures fast (3-4 hours initial), and works on a wide range of materials including wood, metal, fiberglass, plastics, and stone—even underwater or on damp surfaces. Ideal for boat repairs, laminated parts, and demanding applications where flexibility and durability are critical. Made in the USA with boater-tested quality.

## Description

Two-part TotalBoat FlexEpox has the powerful adhesive bonding strength epoxy is known for, but it’s much more flexible than traditional epoxy resin/hardener formulas, and can absorb stresses caused by excessive flexing without delaminating or cracking. It creates permanent, waterproof structural bonds on metals and is perfect for repairing leaky aluminum boats. Also adheres strongly to fiberglass, most plastics, stone, glass, and wood—even oily domestic and tropical hardwoods that are typically very difficult to glue. This versatile adhesive has a honey-like viscosity that’s thick enough not to drain out of bonded joints, yet fluid enough to wet out fiberglass cloth and tape easily. Perfect for putting skid plates on canoes and kayaks or fabricating laminated parts that are subjected to extreme flexing. FlexEpox forms tough, dependable bonds whether it’s applied to dry or damp surfaces, and can be used in temperatures as cool as 40°F and as warm as 125°F. In the right conditions, it can even cure underwater. It’s so easy to use, with a simple 1 to 1 mix ratio by volume and generous working time for bonding and clamping. At 72°F, pot life is 40 minutes, working time (thin film) is 75 minutes, initial cure time is 3-4 hours, workable cure time is between 7 to 10 hours. Wait a minimum of 24 hours before subjecting to high loads. TotalBoat FlexEpox compares to West System G/Flex 650, but maintains its form better at higher temperatures, and is a better value. Compared to typical one-part flexible marine urethane adhesives, FlexEpox is more flexible and has better long-term performance. The 8 oz. Kit contains one 4 oz. bottle of resin and one 4 oz. bottle of hardener. The 32 oz. Kit contains one 16 oz. bottle of resin and one 16 oz. bottle of hardener. All TotalBoat products are developed by boaters for boaters, to provide great value and great results. We know what works and what doesn't. 100% made in the USA.

Review: Strong, flexible, easy to use - Excellent product with a long working time. I used it to glue a badly broken small wooden mast together and applied fiberglass. The results are terrific. It is thick. I asked the manufacturer and they advise that it cannot be thinned.
Review: Worth the $ - Expensive, but very easy to work with and makes a strong, flexible, waterproof bond. If your ratios are a little off it still cures hard. Thin enough to seep deeply into cracks, but cures in only 3-4 hours unlike deep pour epoxy which takes 24 hours and is not flexible. Used on Alaskan Yellow Cedar which is tricky to bond, but this worked great.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fixed an old cooler
*by M***E on July 11, 2018*

I inherited an old Coleman steel cooler from my father a few years ago, and for sentimental reasons I have been repairing and upgrading it as a fun project. New steel handles, a new latch system, and some small epoxy repairs. The inside of my model is lined in white plastic, but my father didn't take good care of it so the inner plastic had some small puncture holes from using it as a toolbox. I tried patching it with JB Weld, but over time those epoxy fixes cracked or lifted away from the cooler plastic, and I wanted to find a less-brittle solution to completely coat the inside of the cooler. The issue I was having is that water was slowly seeping through these cracks and punctures and getting underneath into the foam insulation underneath, slowly starting to rust the steel walls from the inside. I was getting water in the bed of my truck, and I feared I would have to throw away the cooler for good. Enter stage left: TotalBoat FlexEpox I cleaned up the inside of the cooler and gave it a light sanding for a better bond with the epoxy. I mixed up this 32oz batch and took a 3" wide paintbrush and started coating the inner plastic. After just a few minutes, this stuff is like super thick honey and started staying in place on the side walls. I had to keep smoothing out the epoxy over the first half hour until it started to set up better and stop oozing back down the sides of the cooler. Once completely coated, I let the cooler sit out in the sun to cure. Within about 3 hours, this epoxy wasn't even tacky anymore. It had a nice gloss feel to it. I was hoping that it would dry a bit more transparent than it did, but it does dry clear but with a slight honey color to it. I didn't care about appearance, I only wanted function. I took the cooler out for its first field test the following day. I loaded it up with ice and went on a 4 day camping trip, using this cooler for my food while another cooler was loaded with beverages. I figured that if it leaked, I'd just move the food over to the other larger cooler. Well, it worked like a charm. Not a single drop of moisture leaked out, and this epoxy doesn't get brittle. If I press on the inside walls of my cooler, the epoxy flexes with it ever so slightly and doesn't make any sounds as though it's going to crack. Months later, this epoxy coating is just as flexible as when it first cured. I have the cooler stored in my hot AZ garage and so far it's holding up like new. I'm very impressed with this product and glad that I found it.
