I've built three Simpson Strong Tie workbench kits (easy to build, great workbenches) but they're heavy and the legs sit on the floor (not easy to move). This time around, I wanted to add wheels (not fixed casters) so I could move it around and then 'remove' the wheels so the table would sit strong/flat on the floor.The basic instructions are not difficult to understand. The kit comes with a template to help you measure the distance off the floor for the mounting bracket. I used the sticker template for each leg, pre-drilled the lag bolt holes, and screwed everything together. NOTE: I recommend installing the washers on the INSIDE of the bracket (see photo). The top lever and caster are not one unit so they can shift left-to-right. Using the washers on the inside of the bracket reduces the slop between the two. When you step down on the lever, you want it to align to the center of the caster below; otherwise, it might be too tight or won't lock down properly.I am pleasantly surprised how effortlessly the table rolls across my garage floor. Time will tell if the rubber material on the wheels lasts more than a year or two from heavy use. Installation is not difficult and only basic tools are needed to complete it.Recommended.

I used these on two saw cabinets. They work great and are a really good value for the price. They do get a little stiff. But cleaning and lube helps alot.

That’s a heavy bench. Template included made installation extremely easy. Cleaning around the bench is now quick and easy with no lifting.

I wanted to add a moveable work table to my shop. The price and weight load of these casters were right so I gave them a try. The casters work just as advertised. The layout for the holes to drill made putting them on straight forward. The assembly instructions were limited, but gave the basic information to get them installed properly. They work well. Time will tell how close to 600 lbs they will actually work with. My only reservation is the that "kick" pedals that raise and lower the wheels are based on weight. With just the table, one of the casters barely stay on the floor. While moving the table the casters will occasionally pop up (mostly while turning). The casters would be more reliable if they had a friction stop to hold the pedals in place, even when the weight they are holding is light. Overall, I would recommend for the application I used. Wide sturdy surfaces (the table is a full 4x8 sheet). If these casters were being used on a tall, narrow platform that could tip over if one of the wheels popped back up, I would be a bit concerned that it could cause a tip over.

These casters are amazing, not that easy to press, but that means they won't release that easy as well. The only beef with this product is that the provided stencils for brackets would place them too high on the workbench legs. I went 1/4" lower than suggested and it lifted the bench tiny bit shy of 1/2", which is adequate enough to roll it.
