One of the best functional cameras on the market at a reasonable price.
A superb camera, ideal for any situation, light weight, compact and easy to use. No matter if you are new to photography or a pro, this camera is so much fun to use, with various functions. Gives a great multitude of pictures, no matter the light, give you options to either use the Auto function or manually settings. Would recommend this camera or any of the OMD range to anyone.

Lovely camera and a pleasure to use
So far I'm delighted with this camera. The size and weight are perfect for street and travel and ergonomically it sits very well in the hand. People have mentioned in reviews that the menus are difficult to navigate. To be honest, there are one or two quirks but for the main part it is easy to set this camera up in aperture or shutter priority modes and the semi-automatic modes are a doddle to use. I love the haptic feedback from the mechanical shutter mechanism, it's very satisfying. The speed with which it takes five exposure-bracketed shots is astonishing. The images are bright and crisp and for most purposes, 20mp is plenty. The camera copes very well with indoor shooting and I like that the auto white balance is very accurate even in shady spots where my DSLR often makes the white balance too cold. I like the fact that the display shows what focal length you're setting with the zoom lens. There is also a menu option to choose whether the camera remembers the focal length set when the camera is turned off. Update: I am noticing that at wide angles there can be considerable flare and veiled flare in certain situations. A lens hood is not an option with this 14-42mm lens. On the whole I am still very pleased with this camera although I prefer my full-frame DSLR for landscape photos.

Great quality camera
For the price, this is a fantastic camera. It may not have the CP features of the newer OMS cameras, but it still gives impressive performance and quality and while I'm not a beginner in photography, I can see why it's recommended for beginners. I would certainly buy this as a gift for a friend or family member. The only negative things I can say, is that I wish it had weather dealing, and if you attach a case, you can't flip the LCD screen down to take selfies (it's not my thing, so it's not a problem). I have read a lot of reviews that complain that the body is too "plasticky", but I honestly think that those reviewers are nit-picking. The body feels solid in your hands and it's pleasant and comfortable to hold. And yes, 20MP is good enough for stunning detailed photos.

Great camera
Camera easily lives up to expectations, compact and comprehensively featured and with a little practice very easy to use. I purchased it with the standard 14 - 42 kit lens and I was pleasantly surprised how good this lens was.

Dead.
I wish I could leave you a more intensive review. I knew there would be no separate battery charger but had to charge the battery through the camera via the USB port. Camera, usb cable to transformer, transformer to wall socket via power cable. Power cable isn't a 3 pin UK compliance one. Also, everything inside the box had been taken out of bags (some were loose in the box). Though I can't find any signs of use. So now I have to buy a separate charger.

Great camera
First let me make it clear: I don't like smart phones much (except for making calls) so won't compare this camera to a phone. I bought my first camera 62 years ago so I am an old school photographer. Everything was manual then and you had to learn the basics about exposure and focus etc. No ISO settings then only film speeds and developing and printing took ages but was a magical experience. Well times have changed and I am happy to move on with the advancement of technology. This camera is a good balance between the large DSLR and small compact camera. The settings are numerous and yes I probably won't use half of them but they are available for those who feel inclined to do so. The camera is not too heavy but solid enough to hold firmly. They say it is a bit plastic but it doesn't seem obvious. The results are excellent and satisfactory with all my lenses. It also looks a bit old fashioned which reminds me of my early photographic days. No doubt there are better cameras available and definitely a lot worse but I am personally more than happy with the EM10. Cameras are a personal taste so it's a case of finding one you are happy with. No matter how good a camera you won't take good pictures with it if you don't like it. I would give it 5 stars but there is always room for improvement.

Great camera for the price
Had this attractive camera a few months now, I took this and 4 lenses away on holiday which together with batts etc, weighed less than my Panasonic bridge camera alone, the camera feels great, is very responsive and has fast focusing, and easily fit into a bum bag or hoody pocket, it's mft for me, definitely recommend 5*

Good for static and slow moving subjects but AF tracking is poor on fast moving stuff.
Great little camera for general photography, especially with the kit pancake lens as it is so compact. It's a great travel / holiday / landscape camera. However, the auto focus system is very basic and it cannot cope with tracking moving subjects at all well. I loved the form factor and the image quality was on a par with my Canon APS-C kit but the poor AF tracking made it a non-starter for me so I sold it on eBay as I kept it too long to return. If you can operate in "One Shot" AF all of the time it's a lovely camera but if you're in to photographing moving stuff like wildlide, motorsport, aircraft etc and need to lean of the "Servo AF" and "Tracking" capability then you will be frustrated.

My first mirrorless camera (not counting phones). In my experience camera is pretty capable and easy to use even for complete novice, who has no idea what he is doing. Main complain for me is that out of box it can barely do any better job that just pretty old iPhone camera. You either need to search for a specific cases when phone camera cannot do desired quality (and also you must know how to push camera to do better job since automatic mode produces similar quality to phone) such as night sky or long exposure, or use telephoto good lenses (what phones cannot do). But camera surely adds great vibe and sense to photography and you constantly want to use it, so I'm happy with how it performs. In my novice usage the only problem I experience is that m4/3 lenses are... either rare or expensive, and it is easier to find suitable lens for the canon.

Funciona genial!!!!
