A good substantial product. Sturdy.

The base is made of chipboard and crumbles away where the screw is over time. You'll likely need a new one within 3-4 months. Should be a more solid base material.

This product is OK, it's by far the best scratch post I've found on Amazon. Everything else on here seems very short, very cheap or better for kittens.If you've got a full grown adult cat that wants to use the post for a good stretch and scratch it just about fits the bill. It's on the flimsy side to others I've found on the high street and hasn't lasted overly long.It was just "ok" but didn't quite fit the bill for what my cat needs.

Got 2 cats & the wood around the bottom screw crumbled, it's a good job I still had my old pole as I had to put the old base on its been fine since

A good height for our cat to stretch spine.But, cord is thinner this time. It will not last as long as the old one.Had it a week in use, already showing wear at the top of the pole.

We bought this for its height and are very glad we did as our cat can easily stretch to the top of this. The hanging mouse was an instant attraction but unfortunately this didn't survive more than a couple of days of our very enthusiastic tabby. But we now tie different toys to the elastic so it was no issue. The only other minor comment would be that the base is quite small in relation to the height of the post so it really takes very little to knock it over. But would highly recommend, our cat loves using it to stretch and scratch. :)
