Fun but only if you're a shining fanatic
It takes a while to get used to, its not scary and its actually pretty basic once you've played it and got into the rhythm of the game. The last few rounds are pretty tense and require luck and a bit of basic strategy.I hope its a fun Christmas present!

TOO MANY RULES, NOT ENOUGH FUN!
The game arrived on Friday and two days later, I’m just as clueless as to how you’re supposed to play this game. The packaging and design are both beautiful, but beyond that, this just feels like a convoluted mess. You don’t want to be spoon fed the rules, but this many rules make for a frustrating and ultimately boring experience.

Gorgeous and well-designed
The artwork on the box, board and cards really impressed me. The "first player" token/indicator is a life size keychain of the Room 237 pass key, very cool. Tempting to make it a keychain for something around the house, to be honest. The design of the game play seems very well-thought out, though I haven't played it yet (pandemic isolation). With two modes, one with regular players vs the hotel, and one with regular players with a "corrupted" player secretly in their midst, it seems re-playable, too.

Family fun in Seattle.
Our family love, love, loves this game. The rules can be a bit complex at first, but you can simplify it Antilles you get the hang of it. There are a couple of you tube videos that helped us out. We've played this game several times along with our Stranger Things Monopoly game. We highly recommend it.
