Tennis balls go in the wrong way.
If you are using these shorts for tennis, I’m not sure you will like the way they function. I am used to slipping balls up into the elastic shorts that are built into my tennis skirt. If you are a tennis player, that’s likely what you do. You just take the ball and slip it up into your elastic shorts and there it stays. I bought these shorts because I have a tennis dress and it didn’t come with built-in tennis shorts. these shorts came with ball pockets, but they don’t function intuitively. With these shorts, any ball needs to be entered in through the top of the sewn in ball pocket. So if you’re wearing a tennis skirt or tennis dress over these, you are wrangling your hand up, hiking up your skirt further than you normally would, so that you can push the ball in through the top of the ball pocket, and it doesn’t feel like an intuitive motion. Also when you are attempting to get the ball back out, normally you would just slip it out through the bottom of your elastic shorts. But in this case, again, you have to remember to pull your dress or skirt up and pull the ball out through the top. Maybe this won’t bother you. But it bothers me. Putting the ball in your shorts and taking the ball out of your shorts is a pretty intuitive motion if you play tennis all the time. You are going to find yourself sticking your hand up your shorts only to find that there is no ball there again and again. It’s like when you move the trashcan in your kitchen after it’s been the same place for five years… For weeks and week, if not longer, you keep walking to the old spot, only to realize when you get there, that you have moved the trashcan. It’s pretty frustrating. Maybe if I wore the shorts every single time I played tennis I would get used to it. But I don’t. I only wear them sometimes. I’d rather just buy different shorts. If you’re wearing them to run, or just put under a skirt so that you can do cartwheels and not show your underpants, fine, get them. But if you’re going to buy them for tennis, my advice is to buy a pair of shorts designed by a woman who plays tennis. The shorts don’t look bad, but they’re needed to serve a purpose and functionality has to come first.

Not great
I primarily bought these shorts for the ball pockets and to be less bulky than multi-layer tennis skirts in the summer, but unfortunately they're not as useful as I'd hoped, while I like the idea of the pocket entry being on the bottom, the elastic is pretty tight and it ends up being too difficult to get the ball in and out of the pocket when I'm trying to move quickly on the court. They have a thin waistband, not a nice wide band, so they end up digging in and they also seem to be cut pretty short... not short on my thigh (dont get me wrong, these are shortshorts, but I dont mind that on a public court) they are short from the waistband to the bottom thigh seam, meaning when I pull them up to sit comfortably on my waist, they give me... ahem... a kiler front wedgie.. These are also VERY thin... like borderline inappropriate (especially considering that front wedgie *facepalm*.) I wear them in black which helps conceal, but I think I'd be flashing everything if they were in any other color. My fiance thinks that they're meant to be worn underneath a skirt which is certainly an option, but that wasn't what I was looking for and not how the picture implies they are meant to be worn.Overall I'm not impressed, but still keep them on hand as a last resort when I've played a few days in a row and they're my last clean pair. I much prefer my proper tennis skirts and will keep looking for a better pair of shorts.

Tennis balls DO go in the correct way, and it's great to support a family business
I spent a long time looking for traditional ball shorts and almost didn't buy these because of the review stating that the tennis ball had to be inserted from the top. That is not correct. As pictured in the description, these under shorts have traditional, slip-the-ball-in-from-below pockets for tennis balls. These shorts are extremely comfortable and functional. I like that they are a little longer than my other ball shorts. Savalino is a small family business that is good to support.

Runs small, but great tennis bloomers!
I bought these to use as bloomers under tennis dresses, and they are great. Hold multiple balls securely. They are too sheer to wear on their own (for my liking), and they do run a little small. I got a size small and I normally wear a small but I wish I would’ve gotten a medium. Glad to support a family owned business!!

Women tennis Under shorts
Great tennis shorts!!! Nice material that dries fast. One pocket on each side for tennis balls. Easy to put the ball in and out of the pockets. I will definitely buy more.

THANKS for the perfect under shorts!!
I just want to say THANKS!!!OMG!!!! These undershorts are the best ones I have ever played in! They fit great, you don’t even feel them as they are so smooth and airy. And the price!I already bought Savalino tennis shirts for my son and he LOVED them. He usually plays in very expensive brand gear and said these were as good if not better, than the name brand shirts. So I got the under shorts for me. I am SO glad I did. Will buy more for sure!! Thanks for giving us a great alternative to overpriced tennis gear!!

Lightweight...Perfect!
I ordered 2 pairs in both in white and black to wear under tennis skirts or dresses. These are very nice and lightweight. Soft and fit to the skin. Ball pockets are on each side. My game is pickleball. Being smooth plastic, whether it will stay put in the pocket is a question to be answered once I can try it out in warmer weather!

Front seam discomfort
The front seam creates a lovely camel toe effect that is further enhanced when moving around playing tennis.
