Solved my problem. **Q: What exactly does this filter out? ,also does it filtrr flouride or leave flouride?** A: It's NSF/ANSI 42/372 NSF 42: "Filters are certified to reduce aesthetic impurities such as chlorine and taste/odor. It really does filter fast which surprises me that it works so well because I'm used to using the "take forever" filters. This one does just as good of a job. And it's clearly filtering particles because I had to change the filter after a couple months of use. It was easy to find new filters and they were not expensive. I bought a 6 pack for $40 which should last me a year. This is my new favorite water filter. I got the blue and love the pretty color. Very durable, super easy to install the filter - you just pop them in, no need to remove any parts. The shape makes it nice and compact on my kitchen counter.
