Some of the best Fine Art of the Male Form so far!
It's abundantly clear that The Art of Man's twelfth issue is yet again a fine art publication that showcases the incredible talent of several underrated artists. These artists (four men and one woman) focus on artistic drawings of the male form nude, clothed and partially clothed. The quality of the reproductions is excellent so that we truly see the great amount of effort and detail that went into these drawings and works of art. There are insightful and rather candid interviews with artists Brent Braniff; Francisco Cabas; Esther Simmons-MacAdam; Kevin Peterson and Julian Hsiung. Arthur Lambert discusses the late Larry Stanton (1947-1984) and Grady Harp contributes a fine, informative essay on the Swedish painter Eugene Jansson entitled "The Blue Painter and Beyond."There is also an extensive directory of artists who have concentrated on the male figure along with relevant website addresses along with two paintings from the Lyman-Eyer Gallery in Provincetown, Massachusetts at least as of the time this publication was released. The Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art is also prominently featured.I highly recommend this periodical for any serious collector of fine art; it's clearly a coffee table, highly quality book that will encourage conversation about truly great art that showcases the male figure.

One of the finest editions so far!
THE ART OF MAN Issue 12 is so rich in color that it matches Spring! Fine new artists to view and an opportunity for more exposure to the art of Eugène Frederik Jansson with many many examples of his work form throughout his career. In every way this issue is an art explosion and the quality of printing is superb. It looks like this art quarterly is here to stay - and we are the better for it! Grady Harp, February 13
