Q: Can i use this for cosplay purposes to add a sandy effect to beach ball or foam? And will it stay on like paint?

You'll be able to paint it on, however as it's not designed for any strenuous use it may crack or flake off if the material is flexible or gets handled a lot. You may be able to try it out and seal it on with matte varnish or something similar.

Q: Do i have to mix this or is ready to go with pigments of sand in it...?

It's ready to go. It's a gritty yellow thick paste...a bit brighter than what's pictured here. So I often either mix paint in it to get it more sandy colored or wait until it dries and paint it.

Q: Will the sand hold up if used on terrain for miniature gaming where it will have models moved around on it?

I have only used desert sand on miniature bases. It dries pretty hard. I believe it should hold up for you.

Q: Can this be painted on styrofoam?

Yes, it can. Just use stick to spread product over any surface you want, and then shape it as you like. You can add few drops of water to make it smoother. After 30 minutes, you can still shape it. When its dried out, you can paint over it, weather it, put resin on top, you name it
