Having signed up for a scenery painting class, one of these was required to do scaled reproductions. I've never used one before but found the look of this to be high quality. My instinct was right. This heavy, aluminum ruler is easy to read, feels nice in the hand and stands up to a bit of wear. Highly recommended for practical use.

Excellent solid aluminum quality product at a good price. As a bonus, could clearly be an effective self defense tool with the corners as sharp as a knife point. Clearly, NOT for children.

Nice ruler, should last much longer than the plastic ones that I get about a year of use out of before the edges get nicked up and make drawing with them less than desirable. Only issue I have with this product are the corners of the ruler being sharp. Obviously they extrude these and cut them to length, but they don't round off the corners and that leaves a sharp point on them. Not a big deal to fix in a few minutes with a piece of sand paper though.

All of my scaled rulers were chipped up and warped, so I thought I'd splurge on an aluminum ruler. This little guy is pretty accurate and the aluminum and will resist chipping unlike the wood or plastic ones I already have. One of the nicer things that I've noticed about this is that the center groove on each side is color coded so I can work visually rather than picking it up and flipping it around for the proper scale. In this case, I work in 3/8" and 3/4" scale a lot, so I am always looking for the blue stripe. Perhaps this is common on newer scale measuring sticks, but it is new to me as an adept amateur, so it is really delightful in a kind of common way. I'm concerned that the printing on the ruler may wear fast, it is fine so far with only a couple months of use, but the marks are printed and stand proud of the surface, not engraved. This is going to fail and wear away at some point, but so far so good.

Love these rulers. They are solid with a good weight to work with. Great for drawing work and very sturdy.

Very helpful for scale measurement

This ruler is a save for me. I have a small ay home leather shop my patterns amd measurements come from both the U.S. and European pattern makers so there’s always a combination of Imperial and metric measurements, at least that’s the two points of this ruler I use. Then there’s the make of the ruler. It’s shaped as a triangle. Important for me because I can hold it with too much worry about my fingers being a risk for my sharp blades. My finger grips are up higher than my cutting point so a slip with the blade has less of a risk of turning my finger tips into a painful ‘encounter.

Awesome scale rule, easy to read and love that it is aluminum.

Wasn't sure what to expect with this being aluminum...have had my old white plastic scale for over 30yrs and was worried this was just going to have the numbers/increments only painted on. They are engraved w/ paint. Very happy with the quality. Now, I just rec'd it today but I would recommend this scale over the ones you get as a 3 pack for $5 more...they are only painted on. The engraved increments makes a big difference when you are working with pencil or marker for accuracy and longevity.

Nice quality, very readable and useful on jobsite for blueprint, very resistant too. Don't be scared to break it or scratch it
