I've used this and the pink version many times. I saw it at a bit lower price than usual so I purchased the gallon size. I usually find the gold cheaper than the pink for some reason, which is odd since it is the same exact soap as the pink, just a different color & scent. Maybe some don't like the Pina colada scent? I love it. This gallon will last me a long time since I only use this car soap as a prefoam/prewash, before my contact wash where I use a rinseless wash. So I really only use a few ounces at a time (per wash) in my foam canon. It foams really well and dwells on the surface nicely, helping to lift and carry dirt down off the panels before I rinse it and get into the contact wash. It's PH nuetral, so no worries about it removing any coatings you may have on your paint. I feel the price was much better than similar soaps that don't offer anymore cleaning power, lubricity, or foaming action. You can always purchase a smaller bottle to test it out to see if your happy with it before buying the larger size. This is what I did. I highly recommend it. Happy detailing folks!

This is Mr. Pink, reformulated to smell like Piña Colada w/a gold look to its' soap.This soap suds/foams really well and works fantastic in a bucket, foam gun and foam cannon. The real value in this soap is in the price, as it drops under $25 for a gallon pretty frequently here on Amazon.I've used it on light and dark cars in sunlight and at night, and it works great. I've also used it in multiple foam cannons (including the Tool Daily as well as the MJJC pro 2.0).You can dial it up for shave-cream style foam (MJJC), or get that thick/slightly runny layer (Tool Daily) to drip off layers of dirt. I find it works great both ways, honestly. I have also paired it with Inner Clean (the yellow liquid) from CG and it has the same scent as Mr. Gold, keeping the interior and exterior smelling like piña colada lol. My gf likes it too. Hard to knock it, honestly. I know CG gets salt from the detailing community but if a product works well, like this and VRP, they deserve to be known regardless.This stuff is great and if you see it under $25 for the gallon, snatch it up. I'm on my 3rd bottle and its a great maintenance soap.

Sometimes I use this Mr. Gold just in a bucket with some water and a brush or the micro fiber mitt. Works great on my car, my hot tub cover and my outdoor furniture. But this stuff really shines when I use it with the foam cannon for my power washer to wash my car. Holy mackerel! The thickness of the suds that get created from just a little bit of the soap is outstanding. And they really do a great job of loosening up the dirt. Spray on thick, let it sit for just a couple of minutes and then wash with the micro fiber mitt or a nice soft brush and you get a great, clean surface to work with. Then dry and apply some Chemical Guys spray wax and you are off to the races. Both Mr. Pink and Mr. Gold are great products and work equally well. I give Mr. Gold the nod due to its pina colada scent. Highly recommend!

Cleans very well. Leaves excellent shine.

It works very well. Most chemical guys soap seem similar, I think they mostly just have different scents. This is the best smelling one I've used, pina colada. Grape is so-so and left light purple stains on white paint. Strawberry margarita has too light of a scent, I can barely smell it.
