I ordered this product after using NIX on my daughter for the head lice she picked up at school. This is my first time ever dealing with head lice, so to say I am overwhelmed is an understatement. After using the NIX and spending 3 hours picking through her hair with the ridiculous nit comb that comes in the nix package, I was so frustrated, because it was ineffective at removing any nits. I had to try to pick them all out with my finger nails. A friend of mine recommended NIT FREE to me, so I got on here and ordered it. I can't really tell if the mousse is all that effective at loosening the nits or not. I feel like most of it combed right out of her hair in a frothy mess with the first pass of the comb, but the NIT comb itself makes this order worth while. It seems to be super effective at removing the nits. I used this 3 days after her initial NIX treatment, and it got out more nits than I could have with my fingers, and did a much more thorough job. 3 days after that comb through I combed through her hair again and found only 2 nits and 1 tiny hatchling. I still need to go through her hair for another week monitoring, and probably complete the 2nd NIX treatment to get any hatchlings that we may have missed, but I at least feel cautiously optomistic that the Nit free comb has removed 90+% of the nits if not all of them. And I will definitely be using the preventative spray to try to ward off any future infestations.

If you or your children have ever had Lice, then the Lice and Nit 3 step removal kit is for you. The price is reasonable and the instructions are easy to follow. I warn you though, nothing solves the issue overnight. It takes patience, lots of patience - just follow the instructions and you'll have a satisfactory outcome. We've used the stuff multiple times with our children and it really works. We now use the preventative spray with our girls and the problem has not returned. There are numerous products on the market and we've tried a few but this product has worked the best for us. I only gave it 4 stars (vice 5) because of the time and daily effort it takes to rid the hair of the lice - not sure it's the company's fault but after 10 days, it's exhausting.

I had high hopes on this product based on the reviews, but it didn't get rid of lice for my daughter. We followed all the instructions on the bottles, but found live lice after the treatment. The mint spray smells good, but not sure if it is effective. The Nit comb is definitely good.

Comb is useless against nits. Had to use tweezers, one by one.

I will be brutally honest here. The only good thing in this kit was the stainless steel comb. The other two products were not worth a flip. The shampoo was not any good at all and the fragrance spray was like ringing the dinner bell for the lice and their buddies. I think that people that sell this stuff as a silver bullet cure should have to use it on themselves as punishment for putting out such an inferior product. That is I can say.

***THIS IS THE BEST PRODUCT EVER*** Had friends use a professional service for lice and their same product was $75. The key is the comb and nit picking. This foam helps so much with the nit picking. The preventative spray smells good also. This is the first time dealing with lice and I did everything wrong at first. I bought Nix and treated my daughter and used their plastic comb. Thought I was good. But still was finding nits the next day. I ordered this Lice and Nit 3 step removal kit for same day delivery(only $10 extra) and I couldn't believe how many nits and live lice were still in her hair. The metal comb works like a bomb. Then did daily checks with the medal comb and could barely find any the next two days and then was clear after that. DO NOT WASTE TIME WITH CHEMICALS THAT NO LONGER WORK AND DON'T EVEN SUPPLY YOU WITH THE PROPER NIT PICKING COMB. I am a pharmacist and don't mind giving my children medication if they need it. But there is no need to apply chemicals to your child like Nix that lice are becoming resistant to. Don't forget to check your kids hair daily for 10-14 days to make sure you didn't miss any nits!

The comb met my expectations. It seems to be the kind I wanted! I have not yet used the lice product, as my child has successfully avoided getting it! We have been using a vinegar rinse in her hair after baths and spraying her with essential oil/water sprays. We bought this kit as a precaution, as it was going around her school/class. I hope I don't have to use it! I was happy to see that the comb is the kind I wanted, as I couldn't tell in the picture.
