Revved up my Dyson Animal! (And tip for annoying canister popping.)
Original battery dying. Tap-tap into Amazon app, find this guy. Place order, new battery arrives, grab screw driver, take off old battery, install this one, charge...then BAM super charged vacuum! Seems twice as powerful as before, hoping Dyson parts can handle the extra power.Like that when it’s charged, the light is green. The battery housing is pretty much a spot-on color match for the Dyson grey plastic. So far, doing fine after four months of use.Now about that annoying canister popping open and spilling its contents on your was-a-clean floor... Search for “File Rubber Bands” or “Giant Rubber Bands.” They are about 7” long and come in bright colors. Just wrap one of these around the canister. Now the canister can’t pop open and make you say “Argghhh!” Easy to pull the rubber band to the side when emptying canister and easy to pop back.Update: it’s been six months and still working fine. See several reviews complaining their Dyson just stops, even with a new battery. One thing to check is the pre-filter. If it’s clogged, your Dyson will just flat stop working. (Will start pulsing or only work for a minute, then shut off.) Look for the round filter at top of the vacuum body. It pulls straight up and out. The filter can be washed, but nice to have extras so you don’t have to wait for it to dry. These replacements work for my Dyson model.Fette Filter - Pre-Filters Compatible with Dyson Vacuum Filter V6, V7, V8, DC58, DC59 - Compare to Part # 965661-01. This battery pack was dead on arrival
I charged it and turned on my V6, it ran for like 6 seconds and died. Huh, I thought...so I again charged it overnight and tried it again, same result. It actually ran less time than the old dead battery I was replacing it with. Unreal. I put a voltmeter on the charger and checked the voltage and it was good. I called Amazon and discussed with somebody who promptly gave me a refund. I ordered the FirstPower 4.0Ah unit for $42 which had the highest amount of good reviews I could find. It came with a decent charge. I have been using it constantly for a week now and its fine. Avoid the inexpensive replacements like the 26 buck Enermall, just go for a good unit in the first place. Saving money means nothing...if it doesn't work.

Worked great, it is like 2.5x more powerful than the original battery
This was great, our dyson v6 handheld started flashing a red light and wouldn't turn on anytime the trigger was pulled. Looked up the problem online and found that it was battery related. Ended up buying this battery and everything is great. It is the same size, attached without issue (2 screws), and is maybe a littler lighter than the original dyson battery. Given that it is 2.5x more powerful, instead of lasting like 10 minutes like the old battery did...it goes for...well we haven't had it die on us yet while trying to get things vacuumed. If I would have known this was so easy, would have traded out batteries a long time ago cause this thing has been great. I was NOT paid, or given anything free/etc for this review. It is simply based on our experience with the product thus far. :)

Battery does not last.
The battery was very easy to install but I am very displeased with the length of its use. I just bought it in March. The sweeper is used twice a week at the most and it already will not charge. This is the second one I've bought and the same thing happened to the first one. I thought I bought a bad one the first time but it doesn't seem that way. I would not recommend buying this battery.

Works great, and the price is reasonable
UPDATE: It's been two years, and the battery is still going strong. With lots of pets, my Dyson gets regular, almost daily use.ORIGINAL REVIEW, posted January 2021: I almost got rid of my Dyson motorhead. Given the price, I was disappointed with the battery life. I decided to take a chance on this after market battery, since the Dyson was exorbitantly priced. I'm glad I did. It's worth it, even if it only lasts a year.

Only worked for 3 weeks
This battery was easy to install in place of the factory battery (which lasted me 3+ years and then wouldn't hold a charge). Once the battery was replaced with the new one, it worked great for a couple weeks. It didn't last quite as long as the original, but that wasn't a big deal to me. Within 3 weeks, it stopped holding a charge and I couldn't even use my Dyson for a quick spill cleanup. I gave up and tossed the whole contraption. Too bad. I loved my Dyson. But I'd rather buy a new vacuum than keep buying crappy batteries.

A noticeable increase in run time.
It fits perfectly, charges as fast as the original and has a noticeably longer run time. It was also a very easy install.
