I was excited about this volume, but it wasn’t as gripping as the previous ones. Let’s see what happens next.

I love this series. Pinnacle of sci-fi storytelling. One gripe is that a portion of this book (Willets story) is a direct carbon copy pulled from vol. 2. That’s a sizable section of vol 5 that is rehashed page for page from vol 4.

This issue was a break in the story line to provide the backstory of all the characters; which adds to the final storyline in Volume 6.

Mostly flashbacks but ok.We get the back story to several characters on the clarke but to be honest this isnt a character based series.it is at its best dealing with grand ideas and concepts. i love the comic but i could barely remember anyone's name or anything about there alleged personality.so although its mildly interesting ,its an irrelevant diversion rather than a continuation of the main story.
