Great Pyrenees + 4 kids. All wood floors!
It works! It really works. I was skeptical but I remember the wool dust mop we used on basketball floors in school so I figured it’s worth a try. My Great Pyrenees is a furry nightmare and his fur clogs vacuums. So I figured I would give this a try, instead of buying yet another vacuum. It works wonderfully the hair really does stick to the broom. I am able to push it all around the house and I take it to the front door. I take all the dust and fur and dirt from the first floor to the front door. I stop there. I lift the the mop and take it out front and shake it out. Now I will say that the heavier dirt that I have pushed does remain on the floor, not spread around, but literally where I lift the mop. There will be the heavier dirt that did not stick to the mop remaining in a pile on the floor. At which time I just take out my little stick of vacuum and suck it all up . So I’m not burning up my vacuum with dog hair from my lovely great Pyrenees. But I’m not missing hair that was blown around the room by a hepa filter. This is actually the best tool for cleaning up dog hair and four kids running around your house that I’ve used thus far.

My favorite hardwood floor duster rediscovered!
I got a lot of use out of my old (Fuller Brush Co) wool floor duster as a young bride in the 1960's - 70's. Then came 35 years of carpeting - no more wood/hard surface floors, except for vinyl kitchen & tile bathroom. In 2016 we replaced all the old carpet and vinyl for new hardwood floors! Yay!!! I've had a number of various floor cleaning tools the past four years and was really excited to come across this "Sladust Wooly Mammoth Dust Mop with Telescoping Handle Made in The USA" just the other day. I immediately ordered it after deciding on the "Mammoth". It arrived yesterday and I've been all over my home with it and I couldn't be happier. The yarn is thinner than my old Fuller one but that doesn't affect it's efficiency at all. I like the way it goes under most of my low furniture. I also like the width for covering more territory in less time. It picks up ALL the dust bunnies and more! It also works on the baseboards! Woohoo! Shaking it out is no problem. I'm going to order the hand duster right away and expect to save enough on swiffers to pay for it several times over in the years to come!

WOW!!! Perfection!
Solidly made, GENEROUS head, wide, effective... I can't say enough.I have beautiful wood floors, two Roombas, a Swiffer, and a canister vac. We have 3 cats and a dog and I like my floors to shine. I don't like the dust bunnies that roll themselves up. The Swifter is nice for a small area, but I really wanted a nice, wide head. This WIDE dust mop has me ditching my Swiffer altogether. Easy to grab and SOOOO quick. Very generous head. I can zip through 3k feet of wood flooring in a few short minutes, step out the door, give it a shake, and I'm done.VERY solidly made and beautiful - something we don't require of mops usually! An added benefit is that it is made in Vermont. I'm for free trade worldwide, but I have enough stuff from more distant lands. I like the idea of a quality product made in America. Call me old fashioned. Can't recommend highly enough.

Best dust mop I have ever owned
I highly recommend the Wooly Mammoth. Its 24" width is great for covering large areas quickly. And don't be overly concerned about its size being too large to get into small spaces. The mop is very maneuverable and its head easily swivels to present the narrow dimension when desired. It fits between objects spaced by as little as 6" and dusts under low extended items with as little as 3" spacing from the floor. This means that it is not necessary to move chairs, tables, etc. when dusting, which is a real time saver. The mop is well made, and the wool head is very full/plump and attracts and holds dust nicely. Shakes out easily.Nothing not to like!

Easy to use
Easy to use, good quality. I have two cats and this mop really helps in between vacuumings. Not everything sticks to it, although the fur definitely does. I just push everything to one corner and use a damp paper towel to pick up the stuff that didn't stick to the mop head. Haven't washed it yet, but hoping we'll get many years of use out of it

Ordering a replacement after 10 years of solid use
My sister bought one of these wool dry mops over a decade ago when we installed vinyl flooring in our house. We had (and still have) 2 dogs and 2 cats at the time, one of the dogs being a long haired German Shepard who shedded all....year....long! Oh my, the hair! This dry mop was the only thing that could keep up with all that hair and the dust of SoCalifornia.Care is super easy. Every time I swept, I'd take it outside and beat it against the sidewalk, knocking all the dust out of it. Then I'd turn it over and pull all the pet hair off of the bottom and "fluff" the fibers a bit. When it got extra nasty looking, I'd toss it in the washer on delicate, no soap, and let it run once (maybe twice if it was extra nasty) to get all the extra hair and dirt out of it. I'd let it air dry a couple days (to make sure was completely dry) and then begin using it again. The company is extra diligent about replying to customers. We had the plastic piece that connects the head to the handle break once, and they were quick to send us a replacement...for FREE! Whenever I had a question about care or the products, the were replied right away and with a great attitude, even when I emailed them with the craziest questions,Unfortunately, 10 years of constant use, pet hair, and dirt became too much for our little dry mop. The velcro finally began to come off the spot where the head attached and the wool fibers were frizzing and just looking nasty. (Think "curly hair on a super humid day'.) I had no problem with replacing this mop with another Sladust product.Of course, the problem now is...the new one looks so pretty, so new, that I don't want to use it! HA!
