BuckleGear Backpack Waist Strap

This belt does exactly what you think it would. Personally, I used it for a GoRuck Challenge. It lasted through that 12 hour, overnight, 23.5 mile excursion through Downtown Cleveland so that speaks to its quality. Why only 4 stars? Through no fault of its own, its only a belt. Great product.

I'm not one to write scathing reviews, but this product warrants it. I purchased this product as an addition to my ruck. The dimensions seemed right and the price was reasonable. When I received the product, it was evident that the all of the buckles were sized for thicker webbing. I could not get the buckles to stay in place with the puny webbing that shipped with the product. It was clear that friction was supposed to keep them from moving, but the webbing would just pull through the buckles.I'm not sure if they cut down one the webbing thickness to save money or if the design was flawed from the beginning. I can tell you that without modification, this strap will not stay in place around your waist. The webbing will pull through the buckles and you will spend the bulk of your hike messing with the strap or you will pull it off in frustration.Stay away from this product!

Firs my backpack's harness buckles perfectly, is long enough to fit, and appears to be well made.

Needed an auxiliary strap and this did the job.

After digging my dad's old external frame backpack out of storage we discovered that the original waist strap had some how rotted in storage. We replaced it with one of these and it was good as new.

I fastened this on my ruck with caribiners, and it works like a charm for keeping it stable and secure on my back. I can't speak to how it works for supporting weight...I haven't tried using it that way.

I used this strap with a suitcase that turns into a backpack. It didn't have a waist strap, and this helped balance it so I didn't feel like I was always tipping over.

Exactly what I needed!
