Numenera The Devils Spine

Well written, intricate plotting, and really does not stink.

So, I got this 96 page work in my grubby hands, and quickly devoured it.This campaign (though you can use the adventures on their own) really shows off The Strangeness (couldn't help myself as a KS backer...) of Numenera. You get great advice of how to use the adventures if things don't go the way you expect at the start. Also, you get lots of advice for how to adjust the difficulty level as well as references to the main rule book. I really feel like this is designed to help that new GM run things.The art is full-color, and brilliant. Monte was obviously a fan of some of the old D&D modules, like Barrier Peaks, as we have full-color pictures to show the players. I loved that feature, glad to see it used again.Several new ideas for artifacts and oddities. NPC's to encounter and new races/creatures. I know I'll have tremendous fun with this in the future.Is it just me, or is the Baron wearing a wrestling championship belt?

I recently started a Numenera campaign and did not have the guts to write my own story so I picked this up. The stories are great, it's clearly written with plenty of art and hooks. Get this for your first Numenera go-round, you wont regret it.

Haven't GM'ed a session(s) for it, but I'm glad I bought the print, for it is beautiful. Also, I found the story exciting. But I'm suspicious, since I love Numenera and the Ninth World setting.

Interesting story line. Whether used as a campaign, or stand alone adventures, this book helps bring to life some of the areas of Monte Cook's Numenera world.

It arrived in perfect condition and earlier than expected. I have really enjoyed reading through it and plan to run it for my gaming group.

A most excellent adventure! This is a great read and full of ideas to get your GM mojo flowing.

The artwork in this is Amazing. I got this for my husband and it was fascinating even for the not-so-nerdy me.
